heads-up Stamps.com deal

Just in case some of you think you'll be scamming stamps.com for $25 postage - they've got a little smarter since 3 months ago. Now they give you $5 free to start and two $10 coupons which are only applicable if you stay beyond the trial period (1 coupon per month). In addition, the "free" scale requires that you stay beyond the trial period.

Essentially, unless you like the convenience of stamps.com, this ain't a deal when you have to pay $15.99 per month (you also have to pay for the trial period if you stay beyond the first 29 days). E.g. if you stay for 3 months to get the $25 postage and scale, you end up paying $47.97.

save yourself some grief. btw, i love it b/c the system works well for my shipping purposes.

good deals are so hard to come by these days..
