Just got back from watching Jersey Girl with the old lady. I usually can't stand Bennifer but I am a big Kevin Smith fan (clerks, mallrats, chasing amy for those who don't know) so I decided it would be alright. Plus the lady wanted to check it out, so next time I get to see a guy movie. Anyways, I have to say it was pretty good. There were a lot of good laughs and the little girl was a good actress. Liv Tyler's role could have been filled by anyone but she did alright. George Carlin makes a stellar performance as Bennifer's dad. I enjoyed the flick, and will probably add it to my Kevin Smith library.
You may now start calling me ghey.

You are very right about George Carlin. He pulled off the role wonderfully. In fact, maybe it's me, but I think was quite good enough for a supporting role Oscar nomination.
