    Ant Puddles-omg

this evening i was out doing yardwork -and decided to rearrange a rock formation that's in the side yard that holds a whole bunch of pink and white "ride the wave" petunia's...I got sick of it's cat's eye shape and wanted to just pull the back wall down a bit and then make it more of a "half egg shape" since I"m putting a new fence behind it..when I pulled up one of the fairly good sized pieces of rock, I found what was like an entire puddle of ants-PLUS new Ant baby pods or whatever they are..it was gross. I sprayed the crap outta them with Terro Spray and then boiled them with a pail of hot water. I HATE BUGS. GROSS.

Yeah my wife hates ants... she once had a whole colony relocate inside her apartment and all the babies were moved to her bed! Blagh...

Just for clarification, what do you mean by puddle of ants? Was it just a swarm of ants or something? We used to have giant swarms appear next to our pool at times but there was no rhyme or reason to their appearance and I assume that is what you are talking about.
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine...Where have you been? It's alright we know where you've been....

yes-a GINORMO swarm of them..all wiggling and crawling about in unison like waves in a puddle on a windy day..then they had these little white cacoon thingies which I assume are more baby ant pods..it was gross.
