phones? headphones....

i have emerson 900mhz wireless headphones from cyberrebate (yup you read that right). they work fine when i play mp3s. however, when i play a movie, they'll stop transmitting after about 5 mins. if i turn it off, and turn them back on a minute later, they'll be fine again...

why does it do that?
