    Dear Obby: Dryer Inked

    So I ****ed up.

I left a pen, in one of my pants pockets and it got washed and dried this way.Of course it couldn't stay just in my pants, and ruin them, it had to flop out, and get ink on everything. Shirts, boxers, but mostly 4 pairs of jeans, and 1 paid of old navy tshirt-like material pants of the woman's. She's pissed, because 3 of those jeans were hers.

Is there a way I can get these ink stains out? They aren't two big, but they are noticeable. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Blotted

Hairspray only works if you get the stain before it is set-
FELS NAPTHA SOAP-you can buy it online or if really really desperate-I can buy you a bar and send it to you-it costs about 80 cents here..the most you'll pay for a bar is probably a buck 25...grate some of the soap into a dish and add water to make a thick goo-then use a SOFT BRISTLED BRUSH TO RUB IT INTO BOTH SIDES OF THE STAIN..let sit-then launder-because the stains have already been set by heat of a dryer it make take a few attempts. ALSO...
There is a product called CARBONA STAIN REMOVER that dry cleaners use-you can find it in bigger grocery stores and places that sell stain removers...it's got a dab on top like a bingo marker-the smell is horrendous but it gets EVERYTHING that is set in -OUT. you dab, let sit-then launder as directed. It's not expensive and the bottle is clear and is the size of one of those bingo type markers.
also-try giving those ink spots a few good saturations of liquid ORIGINAL TIDE and leave it sit for an hour or two. Then launder-also-oxyclean DOES WORK if you have white clothes-but definately go for the Fels First.

I left a purple marker in my pocket once and it made its way into the dryer. The ink got all over EVERYTHING.

Oxiclean got it all out, from blue jeans to a white shirt. And it didn't wreck the colors. I swear by that stuff.

    Oxyclean rules!
BTW-leaving a chapstick in your pants and drying it is a major disaster
