or when anything gets you down, for that matter?
do you eat?
do you shop?
do you drink?
do you spend the night out?
do you sulk?
do you watch old movies?
do you go out and watch movies?
do you play video games?
do you call your mom?
do you call your sister?
do you call your priest/pastor?
do you pray?
do you go to the gym, vent out your blues on a treadmill, or a punching bag?
do you meditate?
do you cry? bawl your eyes out?
do you hang out with friends?
do you stay over at your friends' place?
do you write poetry or prose?
do you play music? do you strum your guitar? do you play your drums?
do you break stuff?
do you look for a fight?
do you stare at the wall for hours?
do you sleep?
do you have sex?
do you post a lot here or other forums?
do you contemplate your life?
do you create a project to occupy your time?
do you go away and travel?
do you drive, aimlessly for hours, til your gas almost runs out, then head back?
do you stay at home?
do you call out and stay away from work?
do you take a walk?
do you sit in the park?
do you hike up a trail?
do you cook?
for me, depression/the blues = a reason to spend
that is, mostly on things ive been wanting for so long, but just held back due to its non-essential nature (before i got the blues). not that i dont need it - i usually end up using it all the time anyway, so its not like it was useless to begin with. depression tends to push me over the edge of budgetary reason.
though i dont really spend beyond my means - i do know my limits, and as much spending as i do when im feeling down, i dont go overboard and empty my bank account. thats just foolish and dumb.
of course, im glad i dont have a credit card - it would have been maxed out by now.
what do YOU do?
