saw a concept car with the whole gps, computer operated everything, and wireless internet access thing going on, and it just seemed like to much to me. are they going too far with some of this stuff or does it make sense to you guys?
Well, I think the GPS's and DVD run maps are kind of nice.
Ever been in the new S500? If you get in an accident and the airbags go off, it automatically calls for an ambulance and gives them your exact location. If you're ever driving around and don't know where to eat, call the concierge. You speak (there's a microphone near the headliner, and the speaker is through the radio) and ask em where to eat. They can tell you all the good restaurants near you. Weird.
Hey this is America....We just put things like that in our car to say we have it. It's like I have 384mb of RAM in my computer. I differently don't use it all. I just have it, to say I have it. hehe
God Bless America
anyone who would want a dvd playing in the visor of his motorcycle helmet has a death wish. you know you'd wreck.
of course all this technology is fun, but it's just getting to be too much. i love having all the newest stuff in my house, but when it gets into the car it's too much. anything that increases safety and performance is cool, anything that takes your attention from the road for no good reason is a really bad idea.
Let's be serious !
A computer is already in most cars already !
Now a PC in the car is another great idea but you have to remember you can't be Quakin' while you're driving.
I have a TV VCR combo in my van but I don't watch movies while I'm driving.
A PC in the car will be an option on most vehicles soon enough and I'm sure it will be quite popular !
PS Passengers are people too and sometimes you may even stop your car every now and then to engauge in some First Person Carnage yourself )
oops, another brain fart!
