oh, no! that post belongs in the suckage section. dont deface your car by putting a bra across the front of it. those things are ridiculous looking and they trap water and screw up your paint.

The time to use a bra is right before you are going to travel on a road that you think has a lot of flying grit. For example: a formerly icy road that still has a lot of that dept of transportation sand on it.
A former neighbor had a bra and it was so annoying to clean (and dry before he put it back on) that he would leave it on for periods of time. Well, he paid the price with a marred finish (the trailing lip evidently had very tiny [unseeable, so he couldn't correct it] vibration during freeway driving and that caused the marring).
A bra is a high-maintenance item. Buying one doesn't reduce your maintenance burden. You always have to keep looking. As soon as the bra loosens enough across the hood area to vibrate, you get your paint damage. Voila!

Woa, i never knew they caused so much damage> i just wanted one cuz i have a few scratches on the front of my car and didnt want any additional ones. Well, i guess i'll save my money for something else, most likely fog lamps.

And do not get one if you have a dark color paint. The aging of the paint will be different even if the bra is removed and cleaned regularly as the sun will wear the rest of the car more. Then you get "TAN LINES" on your car haha. Only use bras on messy highways as mentioned or when doing Auto-X. I used one to keep all that melted tire crap off of my front end when I did Auto-X.

glad to see you are actually considering our opinions. they sell polishes and small bottle of filler paint that can probably fix all your scratches. you wouldnt believe how well you can repair a scratch in a paint job. most people are just afraid to try because cars and good paint jobs are so costly.

Yea, i cant find my paint color at the auto stores, i'll prolly head over to the dealer in the comming weeks to see if they have it

Hey, speaking of fixing scratches, I have a coupla paint divots in my doors (goddamn LA drivers just fling their doors open without giving a hoot). I have a clearcoat metallic paintjob, and have heard these are more finnicky than usual. Any suggestions?
