Thread: CD stuck in my receiver!!!

I recently installed the Kenwood 7011 in my Integra. It's the one w/ the hidden face that automatically flips up and down when either turning your ignition on or off. Anyways, I have a CD-R stuck in there. Somehow, it's not reading that I have a CD in there and refuses to eject. I've attempted to pry it out gently w/ a pair of tweezers while hitting the eject button to no avail. I don't feel like taking everything out again. There is no manual release on the receiver either. I'm in the Albany area, so if anyone knows of places that specialize in audio hardware, please post. Suggestions please...

that happened to my sony deck once, i had to take it out (mine pops out pretty easy) and hold it facing down while pushing the reset button.

Here are some wildass random suggestions to try with no idea if they work or not:

With the car off, hold the eject button down. Now turn the ignition key to accessories position to enable power to your Kenwood deck. Did the CD eject out?

If not, set the Kenwood deck to the radio mode. Now press the eject button. Did the CD eject out?

At this point, if the CD did not eject, hold the Eject button down and with the button held down, quickly turn the ignition key to the off position and back to accessories position again. In effect, you turned the CD player on and off very quickly. Did the CD eject?

If the CD did eject, I request that you only play Britney Spears CDs in the Kenwood deck from now on. Those CDs should be readily ejectable by your unit and might even eject without you pressing the button! Problem solved!

The receiver I have automatically flips down once my ignition goes off. I did try everything you suggested though; except for that Britney Spears thing. I'll have to do that once my unit is operational again.
