Hey, i'm wondering if i should change my automatic transmission fluid and filter, its a 91 eclipse with 94k miles. We bought it at 70k miles and dont know if its been changed before. Should i change fluid and filter? Will i feel a difference, in shifting or anything?

    Exclamation

I would check the color and smell... ATF usually is a cherry red color... Make sure the fluid is not burnt also... I would recommend to change it though just to be on the safe side. Good luck!

    Thumbs up

I agree with RENSKI, WASSAP RENSKI... As he said, it is not bad to go on ahead with changing the fluid and filter.. It is cheaper to do that then the whole TRANNY..

You can go to www.carparts.com for prices.

Take it to Jiffy Lube and have them check it. I got it done there because they showed me the fluid. It ws black when it should have been a pink color. They do it for about $50 which is good for preventative maintenance.
