    .dll errors

    xp window open error messages read "error loading C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM 32\NvCpl.dll a dynamic link library intialization routine failed" and "The Precedure entry point GETIUMS could not be located in the Dynamic link library MSCART. DLL". action began after video card install , driver and monitor setting change and subsequent crash. please advise.

    I'm guessing you no longer have an NVidia graphics card? If that's the case, go to Add/Remove programs and remove all of the NVidia stuff. Sounds like their start-up apps are still in the start-up group.
