Thanks to the overwhelming reception of Diablo II, we have
experienced the single largest first day sales in our company's
history. While this points to the fact that we have all been
anticipating the game, it also means that we have been deluged
with players logging onto Battle.net and the Diablo II Realms in
unprecedented numbers. Although we had well over 100,000 people
participate in our Diablo II Stress Test, the realities of
shipping out 2 million copies of the game have uncovered new
issues that require immediate resolution.We are making every
possible effort to ensure that your game play experience is as
fun and uninterrupted as possible. As we continue to monitor
Diablo II and Battle.net, we will inevitably need to make changes
in our servers to increase general stability that will require us
to take down Realm servers at different times. We apologize for
any inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your support and
understanding during these interruptions in service as we strive
to provide you with the best game play experience and environment
possible.
