Getting a Job?

I'm just wondering where is the best way to find a job. I'm just to lazy to drive around looking for a place that says "We are Hiring."

If I do find a job it will be my first one. (I'm still in high school so I guess its time.)

you got wheels? no reason to not get a job. easy bet: check out the classifieds, and make some calls to set up interviews.

If you're looking for a simple get-some-extra-money type job, then submit some apps at the typical places (fast food, retail, etc.) If you want something that fits your interests and future goals, then make a list of companies you'd like to work for. Send each company a resume and letter stating that you have designated that company as a target in your job search. Tell them you will be calling them in one week to discuss setting up an interview. Be a salesman, and act like you are selling yourself. Be confident, but not arrogant.

Seeing that you're in high school, I would say go work retail or restaurant simply because their hours are typically more flexible than other jobs. Check out the local malls and restaurants...I'm guessing plenty of them will be hiring.

if I could go back to highschoool, I'd work in a gas station with a garage and learn everything I could about fixing up cars. such a useful skill.

But if you wanna go "upscale", the mall is where it is at.
