    Mac question!!!!

    So I have no idea how to use MAC's, and one of my friends in the dorm has a MAC! He wants to get on other peoples computer to get music and what not off their computer. So here is the problem...He can see the comptuers...but he cannot access them! Whenever he double clicks the computer...it asks for a password when the host computer doesn't have a password set

    ie. he tries to go on my computer (windows xp), while I have no password enabled...my friends computer (osX) asks to input a password! I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON!!! Somebody do help!

    Have you tried entering the user's name on the PC and leaving the password blank?
