McAfee possible problems?

Anyone have a noticeable system slow down after McAfee upgraded itself recently? Since it updated to the current red background with associated software updates my Win XP computer has slowed noticeably. Especially the browser loading and email downloading. Going website to website seems like I'm back on dial up alot of the time since it updated.

Now days virus scanners are overly aggressive, eating up all possible CPU power. I took mine off and use Adaware active monitor to watch for live threats. Also if you have a load of stuff on your computer and havn't reinstalled windows recently (a year or 2), it'll go pretty slow too.
