I use Adobe Photoshop. Resize, bicubic, resolution 144ppi. Then apply a sharpen filter. I can send you the higher res copy that I made of it. PM me your e-mail addy and I will send it over.

Will the new picture look as good as the orginal?

That can never be guaranteed when upsampling an image. The good news is this image is a B&W sketch so upsampling with a gaussian blur and some sharpening filters seem to make it look pretty good. Tweaking can be done.Originally Posted by GilbertsGrape
Normally it is difficult to upsample and have a good looking picture even with bicubic resampling because it is impossible to 'make up' image data. But like I said earlier, with this one it was easier because it was a B&W sketch which was easy for the filters to smooth out.
I do not have a place where I can host the pic otherwise I could show you the before/after of it.
