    Good Codec Package??

<I searched the forums on this, but the most recent one was posted earlier this year>

Q: Can anybody recommend a good up-to-date codec package?
I know it's not wise to simply install all the codecs I can find out there, but at the same time, I don't want to sit here having to fine-tune my codec library. I want a nice and simple all-in-one package with a minimal yet robust collection of essential codecs.

I don't use any exotic multimedia files, mostly just divx.

    TIA!!

You should look up the GOM player. The caveat is that it's in Korean, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. It automatically loads new codecs and what not. It even allows you to skip about on .asf files and such that usually don't allow you to skip.

Back in my DVD ripping days, I loved Nimo codec pack. I don't know if they've kept it up to date, but you can get it here:

There are some other packs as well.

I think Nimo announced they would stop updating their codecs package back in July. Thanks anyway for the advice!

This is definately the most complete codec pack I've seen. Plus it lets's you easily choose which codecs you want. It weighs in at 44MB.

Anyone know which one is more complete?
ACE Mega CodecS Pack 6.03 - Professional Edition or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack?
