Why all the free Soyo boards lately?
Here’s one for the AMD enthusiasts. This one’s free after two $30 rebates (ends 11/21/04) with free 2nd day shipping.

Thanks. I have an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ CPU just sitting around, so this would come in handy.![]()
yeah, was thinking the same thing.
Hmmm...I sent my rebate with Delivery Confirmation via USPS back in November. Still no word and USPS has no information on the shipment. www.verifyrebate.com is also seemingly defunked. Should have purchased insurance. Anyone have a similar experience with this deal?

I bought the SY-P4i864PE+ V1.0 from newegg back in August with $75 rebate. $40 bonus and $35 regular rebate, so far they only show the $40 bonus rebate. I have emailed them, but still no response. I will keep bugging them and hopefully I can get my rebate.Originally Posted by notallan

If there's a phone number, call them. I just had a problem with a Drive Backup $40 rebate which I sent in July. wheresmyrebate.com was the contact. I checked their site in October and it stated that the proper receipt was not included, which I know was included. So I faxed them the info and waited till December. I called them again and finally got it this week.

ok. www.verifyrebate.com is back up and both rebates show approved. No worries. But still...I paid extra for delivery confirmation from USPS and they didn't follow through. I sorta want my money back on that end. Anyway, that is a different rant. Thanks all for responding!

you have to take that up with USPS. Maybe they didn't scan it.

I wonder if THIS BOARD works with Radeon 9700s/9800?!?![]()

Soyo rebates rank up there with Tiger Direct rebates. You will most likely not see a rebate until you call and ask for it and then you will most likely need to fax them a copy of everything in order to get it. I am still waiting after 5 months for rebate from them. I have called them and they said they got everything and it should be processed shortly. That was two months ago. It is your money, so do as you wish. Just don't say you were not warned!
No kidding!!! I have the same problem with the Tigerdirect's 19" LCD Komodo or something. I'm still waiting for the darn rebate. I have emailed them, and yet still no response....Originally Posted by rm430

We need a stickied thread of good/bad rebate companies for those that don't know. I also bought the last Soyo mobo, and when it didn't work, ZipZoomFly () said to keep it, since it was free anyway, and they were going to stick me with a restocking fee because they "don't guarantee (their) products to work with other components."

no thanks my friend has one and the chipset fan is a peice of ****
plus im already mad a soyo for making crap atx cases![]()
soyo's not that good with rebates, but they'll come around. my dad got that one recently too haha
That's because Soyo's pulling out of the mobo business. Soyo isn't an extremely reliable company to begin with (their rebates are notorious) and now they're going out of business so I wouldn't count on getting a warranty claim filed with them at all.Originally Posted by PitViper
