Whatever you say Boss....
Depends if you want to control your deck with your computer. If you use Firewire, you can control the forward, reverse, etc. of the unit. This is incredibly useful when doing batch captures.
So I would say IEEE1394.

IEEE1394 is digital, S-Video is analog.... 'nuff said. (Digital will give you a waayyyy better capture).
