    PCI Express 6800GT??

Anybody actually seen this thing in stock for under $500? Has to be PCI express. I just got a 6600GT from newegg last week and have been reading about the successful SLI capabilities of the 6800GT so I think I'm gonna upgrade if I can find one. Let me know. Thanks.

well i would love to get a sli capable card, but if you want to get the sli hookup with 2 cards, thats going to cost you at least a grand. www.nvidia.com explains it

why not just get another 6600GT and SLI that?

it would be only 150 bucks as opposed to 1,000.

You can only use two of the same video cards in SLI, so you'd have to buy two 6800GT's

two 6600GT's is like one 6800 Ultra, If I remember the review correctly.

and to answer your question, no. I haven't seen it in stock really anywhere at all.

it would run as if it were two 6600GT's

the two video cards have to be the same for the SLI to function propperly.

If there is a 6800GT and a 6600GT, the board will run them both at the 6600GT's speed
    Shut up, dummy.

The SLI reminds me of the past with 3Dfx they came out with that 5-6yrs ago. two 6800gts wow! who besides extream graphics programers are going to entirely use all that power? i mean theres no games out yet that need that much graphics power its like buying a mclaren f1 when you don't have your drivers license yet. don't get me wrong, i love the 6800 ultra, but just buy 1 single BFG 6800 ultra and you'll do fine.

yeah, 1 6800 is sweet, but it's not worth buying 2 because the performance isnt doubled. its only like 1.5 times better at twice the price. its ur money...
