Is it really necessary to confirm 'Web' words? Or things like the 'This Week' word which is essentially the same thing? To me, people just want to be considered the #1 poster but I find it totally unnecessary IMHO. Kind of like when someone posts and then is the next person to post - just edit your post and keep everything neater if all you're doing is confirming different codes.

Maybe not, but the "cost" may have something to do with the fact that 93.3 was the only Clear Channel station to allow us to rollover our points last New Year's so there are many people with 500,000+ points in their accounts. The station can see this in their records and may want to see if some of those people will use 100,000 and get some of them off the books.
I believe 'The War Bird' was just stating that there's no point in "CONFIRMING/re-posting" a daily website word, because anyone can easily verify it by checking the website themselves......so there's no "fear of poisoned/planted codes" in those cases. As far as Newsletter code words......they're on the website for all to verify for themselves, as well !

Ok, to show that we are not completely inflexible, you may copy/paste the prize postings and winner lists. AS LONG AS: They are current (who cares about who won 2 days ago or what the prizes were then?) and only posted ONE time. No need for confirmation to those. If anyone has a question about the info, they can then go to the website and look themselves. We are trying to cut down on clutter, which is why we have made the new rules, but again, we aren't completely inflexible.Feel free to PM with any questions.
