HISTORIC BRITT SCRIPPS INN (CIRCA 1887) CELEBRATES OPENING DAY ON VALENTINE’S BY GIVING AWAY 1,887 ROSES TO MILITARY PERSONNEL
(MILITARY!) "THE ROSES ARE RED, THE INN IS NEW A DOZEN RED ROSES, GIVEN AWAY TO A FEW"
Valentine’s Day will celebrate the re-emergence of a bygone era when the 118-year-old Britt Scripps mansion opens its doors as the newly christened Britt Scripps Inn (circa 1887). In honor of opening on the most romantic day of the year, Britt Scripps Inn will be giving away 1,887 long-stem red roses, by the dozen, to the first 158 military personnel or spouses (presenting a valid military ID) to come by the Inn at 406 Maple Street starting at 9:00 a.m. on February 14 until they are gone – limit one dozen per family. Six of the bouquets will come with an added surprise – a complimentary future overnight stay at the Inn. [/COLOR]
$250,000 OFFERED TO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
The San Diego County Ford Dealers are offering up to two hundred fifty thousand dollars in scholarships to San Diego County high school students through the San Diego County Salute to Education scholarship program. The San Diego County Ford Dealers will also give away a new Ford car or truck to one lucky scholarship recipient.
“The San Diego County Ford Dealers are making these scholarships available to San Diego County high school seniors to help the young people in our communities further their educations. We are pleased to award our scholarships to students who will be attending universities, two or four year colleges and trade or vocational schools. Our scholarships are not awarded primarily on outstanding grades, but on personal achievements and community service,” said John McCallan, Owner of Pearson Ford and the 2004-2005 Chairman of San Diego County Salute to Education.
Salute to Education is open to any high school senior who resides in San Diego County, attends an accredited San Diego County public or private school, is eligible to graduate the spring semester of 2005, and has not received a full four year scholarship to attend a college or university.

Hey 'SPARKLET81', your lengthy posts that use up all this thread space (with info that we all see for ourselves, when we check in/post our points on the rewards website) make it difficult to navigate through just to find the codes we're looking for. Why not (if you must) just post a short 'heads up/ FYI' LINK to the site you're quoting/copying!?!
