Woman arrested for deleting MMORPG character

A Japanese woman was arrested for wiping her boyfriend's save game data…
The jilted girlfriend, said to be in her thirties, logged onto her ex-lover's Lineage account with his username and password. Once there she deleted his game data including all the items, weapons and clothes he had collected.

Although the boyfriend did not suffer financially he reported the misuse of his account to the police. Police then reported the woman of Toyama Prefecture, to the Fukushima District Public Prosecutors Office accusing her of violating a law banning illegal access to someone else's online accounts.
The woman has admitted the crime. "I did it as revenge for breaking up with me," she told police.

The couple actually met through playing the game, love blossomed in the online RPG and the lovers soon met up. However the relationship did not last long and thoughts turned to revenge.

I had not seen this ridiculous post but since someone directed me to it, this is what I have to say. YOU are out of line, definately not funny, and quite obvious to the fact that you are trying to start sh|t. Get a life.

boy. glad i'm being monitored so closely somebody needs to keep me in line. very good response time... and i'm supposed to get a life.

it's not an insult... it just reminded me of you you're creatively vindictive, are you not? and it's funny when you are.

at first glance it did seem like you were ripping on her. looking at it again, i'm gonna guess you're talking about when she's pissed and is just spouting without any intention of her suggestions being taken seriously.

again... this is what i get for being brief i refuse to take any more crap for wordiness, given that i apparently SUCK at being brief. all posts will now be accompanied by fine print disclaimers of not less than 300% the length of the actual post itself.

and, yes... i've said to her more than once that what she said was "wrong but funny" and she took it as a compliment. it wasn't intended any differently this time. her creativity consistently astounds me. when others respond to a story of a person being wronged with a line or two about "that sucks" or "egg his car" ... obby can come up with a novella-length plan that is pure evil genius and generally has me spitting on my keyboard.

anyway. for the serious gamer that he was, this is pretty much akin to burning his house down. or those pics of the woman who threw all the dude's clothes on the lawn and spray-painted "CHEATER!" all over his boat and car... not nice, but definitely funny.

I think that's for an online jury to decide. As the Young Online District Attorney (YODA), I can assure you that I will indeed be pursuing this case. I have received instant-messaged affidavits from his online companions as to the nature of their relationship, an excerpt of which can be found below:

YODA (me): I have some questions about you about an online murder.
    DizHotSexCgrrl: a/s/l?
YODA: 26/m/FL. So had you noticed anything weird about their online relationship lately? Any peculiar behaviors?
    DizHotSexCgrrl: omg! 24/f/FL! got pics?
YODA: I've heard that he was perhaps cybering with other online women?
DizHotSexCgrrl: wtf? u wanna cyber? lolz ok! u start! and send pics!

Only in Japan. If that guy ever went to the police here in america it would take him forever to explain what happened. Hell if i were a policeman i'd laugh my ass off, tell him to get a life... preferable one not including psychos like that girl, then proceed to kicking him out of the station.
