    Big Momma's House - 2
Funny, funny FUNNY!!! The actual story line lacked substance in my opinion but the comedy definitely made up for it all! Martin Lawrence = hilarious!! For those with small childern there are a few risqué scenes but then that depends on what you'd call risqué. I'd give the story line a "C-" but the comedy is so good that it helps you forget about what it lacks so for overall content I'd have to give it at least a "B". Most sequels don't measure up to the original movie but this one does deliver. I would recommend seeing it before it comes out on DVD!!

    Hmm Big Momma's House II

I agree. It was funny, but it was missing something. However if you have a big family just wait till the DVD comes and save the $20+ dollars. B

Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher have another movie coming out this fall and that one really looks super fun. He plays BOOG the bear and Ashton plays Elliot the deer.
    See the trailers here

    Open Season the Movie

There are a bunch of great movies with great actors coming soon like Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage or Click, Superman Returns and RV. Check out the trailers.

Also I would like to thank those who game me that extra tix. Thanks you so much.

    Something New

While 42.4% of African- Americans have never been married, Kenya, a professional African-American woman is determined to do something about it. She is shocked to discover, however, that she's falling in love with a white landscaper.

I really like this movie its funny, moving, all the emotions.

    My personal rating:

    B

"The World's Fastest Indian" Drama? Action? Adventure?

As of 10:30pm on the Couch Potato Fox 6 site, there were 18 passes for two up. Please let us know if this is worth the $$$ on the big screen. The racing scenes look pretty hard core, but let us know if the drama is worth it. I am a fan of Sir Anthony Hopkins, but I may want to stick with the fava beans and a nice glass of Chianti!

Please, do not see "BUBBLE" ON DVD nor the Big Screen!

This is what 760AM KFMB has for a give away...

Magnolia Home Entertainment brings you Steven Soderbergh's BUBBLE, the first movie ever released simultaneously in theaters and on DVD. See it now in a theatre near you. In this unique cinematic experiment, acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh brings this tragic story to life with startling realism. A bizarre love triangle is born at a doll factory in a small Midwestern town. Lonely and isolated, long time employees Martha and Kyle have become friends by default in spite of their drastic age difference. Their dynamic is upset by the arrival of a new worker: young, attractive, single mother Rose. As Martha grows increasingly wary about Rose's dubious character, she discovers Kyle and Rose developing a relationship of their own. When a murder investigation begins, it calls into question our established assumptions about these characters and life in their small town.

    Thumbs up Curious George

Plot Outline: Will Ferrell stars as The Man in the Yellow Hat, a gentleman who looks after his pet monkey - an inquisitive and wonderful creature whose enthusiasm often gets the best of him.

My 2 Cents: Now do not get confused. The movie is not about this little monkey .

I love Curious George. To my amazement this movie was a very very funny movie. No disappointment at all. Animation was rich and colorful. The story line and voices were very good.

Forget the momma and go bananas.

Definitely an A+ movie for the whole family.

    Nanny McPhee

A An enjoyable tale about seven out of control kids and their widower father. After losing the 17th nanny due to the childrens antics and no one else will take the job... Nanny McPhee shows up to set things right.
It's not really so much a movie as a fairy tale told on screen. That's what makes it good. With so many movies trying to be action thrillers the art of storytelling seems to have been lost recently. This movie tells a story. It is an enjoyable fantasy. It's a kids film. It doesn't pretend to be anything else.

/edit After seeing dogopoly's definition of the rating systerm, I changed the rating from a B to an A, it's worth full price.

    Pink Panther

A world-famous soccer coach has been murdered and his priceless, legendary ring has been stolen--a ring set with the stunning diamond known as the "Pink Panther." The French government needs a master detective to solve the crime and recover the gem--but he's not available, so they recruit none other than Inspector Jacques Clouseau. A stunning pop star, a soccer player, a Chinese assassin circles--but who committed the crime? And can anyone solve the case? Clouseau and his partner, Ponton, must unmask the murderer and keep their boss, Dreyfus, from taking credit for the victory, all without bringing the French legal system to a screeching halt.

Steve Martin is super funny, as well as kevin Kline. LOL beyonce looked beautiful. I thought i wasnt gonna like it and be bored, but i really enjoyed it : )over my personal review of this movie:

    Pink Panther

    Plot Outline: Read up there.

My 2 Cents: Yup it was funny. Not as funny as the originals (1963), but better than Son of the Pink Panther (1993). The acting was close to Peter Sellers (the original Inspector Clouseau) with a Steve Martin twist, very good. I also though I was not going to like it. Not great enough to pay full price. Wait till video. A-

    Hmmm...A-?

    FYI...The system I suggested is A=full price, B= matinee, C=video, D=watch on tv or don't bother
So A- to me would mean almost worth full price, but worth matinee price (although these days, that's almost full price at most theaters!)

Hmmm...do they routinely have movie passes?

I wonder if Clear Channel does that consistently? I've heard that passes were on the counter b-4 for anyone to partake. I wonder if it is worth stopping by just to scavenge for movie passes or not.

So how many stations are in the CC family now?
    91X, 92.5 Magic, 93.3, 105.3, whom else?

It happened to me once too...they had some left over passes for that evening and just gave them away (since next day they had no value.)

Maybe we could get the # to their front desk and call if we're in the area. That way you don't waste gas, but could score a nice pass if you're headed in that direction.

    Finally saw it.
I guess I have different tastes. I thought it was interesting, but I would have preferred to see it on video. I'll give it a C+

It's the story of a guy who has an affair with his brother-in-law-to-be's fiancee, and he continues it well after he marries (but his brother-in-law and she break up) and he must later make a decision.

That bad, huh Paniolo? Please elaborate. Was it just a bunch of raunchy humor that constantly pushes the envelope like the first 2 Scarry Movies?

    Thumbs up Date Movie

Plot Outline: Spoof of romantic comedies which focuses on a man, his crush, his parents, and her father.

    My 2 Cents: What!!!
This movie either you like it or not. The target audience is 18 to 40. I like Alyson Hannigan’s smile and newcomer Adam Campbell was very good.

I loved it. Funny funny funny. They make fun of a lot of movies. I though that after seen so many trailers of this movie I was not going to laugh. Boy was I wrong.
The movie is just silly fun with a bunch of jokes that do not have to do anything with the movie, but still are funny as heck. I almost busted a gut on the basketball scene.
There are fat and fart jokes on it, but mainly it just makes fun of older movies. It is a movie to just go and have fun and not take any offence of what they do.
    A+

ps: Stay for some stuff after the credits.

  25. #535
FREEDOMLAND = B+ / Psychological thriller that's exhausting yet riveting.

  26. #536
IMAGINE ME & YOU = B / unconventional romantic comedy.

  27. #537
EIGHT BELOW = A / Good Disney, animal lover, adventure movie.

    FIREWALL = B/B- / familiar, routine thriller.

This is a great gut buster, laugh til you cry kind of movie. It is what it is. Sorry Paniolo, maybe you should get your $$$ back But you have to admit you smiled & guffawed a lot, right?

Enjoy everyone! It'll be on cable & DVD shortly...

Nope, too juvenile/raunchy for us. We just walked out, with some others who apparently felt the same way & went to another movie.
