OK...here it is...the review you all wanted to hear:
Aeon Flux is the character portrayed by Charlise Theron.
The year is 2415, and 99% of the population was wiped out 400 years earlier. They survive in a controlled city that protects them from the dangerous outside elements. The city was created by an elite group in control of the city, but sometimes people mysteriously disappear without a trace. A small group of citizens wants to know why. Their coalition has decided to take out the leader and Aeon is selected to perform the task. However, something has gone wrong and she finds that she must get more answers before she can take out the leader, but her group thinks that she ahs betrayed them and the leaders group thinks that he has betrayed them. Together they must figure out how to bring back peace and let society move forward.
The setting is very futuristic and even though rather unrealistic things happen, you accept most of it as scientific advancements that could take place over the next 400 years...however, some are jsut too far-fetched. The storyline is pretty decent and the mystery of the storyline keeps you wondering where it's leading. Charlise does a decent job of acting and looks a lot like "Lara Croft" (Tomb Raider) out there, and the rest of the story is reminiscent of The Island from earlier this year, but with many different and interesting elements. Also a bit reminscent of the Fifth Element (Bruce Willis, et al.)
This one is really hard to characterize, but I think I'll give it a **B** for its mystery, but I think many will get bored with the story's predictableness. Certainly worth renting on video, and maybe at 1/2 price, but probably not worth waiting in lines for a crowded theater to see.

Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. But I can usually shut her up with cookies. (Chocolate Chips will do)
