Worth a look. The caveat would of course be that results may vary from batch to batch and different burners may also yield different results. I just skipped to the Conclusion page.

I'm shocked to see that even with the caviat that the Taiyo Yuden discs produced such poor results, and to see CMC and Prodisc on top. Usually the reviews I've read and the public perception is that the latter two brands usually cause a lot of coasters whereas the Taiyo Yudens are rock solid - a case proven with my Pioneer DVR-108 and 8X Fujifilm discs [that I am able to burn at 16X with no errors].
So I guess the caviat holds. But the results are definitely interesting.
If con is the opposite of pro, then what's the opposite of progress?
I'll have to do some quality tests with the CMC dual-layered discs I just picked up with my Plextor PX-716A (thanks a lot LPMiller -- you got me hooked on Plextors.) I used to have a PX-712A, but that went in my father's computer now, so I upgraded since I was very happy with the PX-712A.
