In this country the amount of people using broadband over time has shot up and last year it was reported broadband users surpassed the amount of those on dialup. That said, there are still a significant part of net users on dialup.

Broadband is not always available for folks-whether it be living in the boonies or traveling for work or vacation. There are also other reasons why people have dialup like co$t.

Let us not forget these forums are available and used by an international audience.

Its not about the LCD driving the boat, its about consideration. While a person may be mildly inconvenienced at not being able to post a 750kb picture, imagine the major discomfort of those waiting for large pictures that take forever to load. How about editing a picture to make it smaller and look almost as good? Finally, its really not asking much to just link to the massive picture while not imaging it.

HAHA! i dont ever want to go back to dailup even though its slower i would prolly spend less time on the net, but since im an internet junkie i neeed it and broadband would play a major factor if i considered moving anywhere where i couldent get it. dailup really limits what you can do on the net. since there are so many limits to 56k or more like 5k, internet staples like special interest sites, news, and general info ect they should be easy to access for dial up users.

I hear ya. But it seems that the dial up users should disable graphics and let the rest of us go on our merry way. Afterall, if you are on dial up you should expect that there would be certain limitations as to what you can do.

It was just a suggestion that I think would make it better. I understand why you have it this way it is just my opinion that it would be better.

But the recent change of cracking down on peoples rudeness....well kudos for that A good natured zing every so often is fun (yes, it can be hard to tell the difference between a zing and a real insult at times) but things were getting out of hand. Much better now.
