Problem with WMP

Running WMP10

Whenever I open up a media file encoded in a widescreen aspect ratio, WMP presents the video in 4:3 by adding black bars to the top and bottom of the picture. This is especially annoying because I have a ws display so whenever I maximize the vid, I get an awesome black border around the entire picture.

how to fix0r? ty, sir.

edit: Oh yeah, same thing happens when I open the files in MPC too.

Does it just happen with DivX? Maybe its a setting in the DivX codec on your computer.

Hmm. Now that you mention it...that's probably the prob. I just checked my ws .wmv files and they're displaying correctly.

edit 2: Arg. Sometimes the most obvious solution is the hardest to see. I just reinstalled defilerpak and now everything is playing correctly. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, smokey.
