    Yup. I also remember SNL doing a skit making fun of it. They made a advert for "Crystal Gravy" Kevon Nelon and Julia Sweeney dipped turkey legs into a clear goo.

    They made a good point, some things should not be clear.

    i remember those liter bottles with the dark plastic underneath!
    i never tried crystal clear pepsi...coke just shouldn't be clear.
    i heard that after they stopped selling it in the US, canada still continued to sell it in the stores. don't know if that was true or not...

    I remember having a huge stack of 20 ounce bottles of the stuff sitting in my office for months. We're talking hundreds of bottles. I was program director at a radio station at the time and we were supposed to give it away at station promotions. It was hard to give the stuff away. It provoked a strong negative reaction in a lot of people.
