A wind vane in La Jolla. I seem to go up here a lot. (My bank is up here so I have to go deposit my paycheck there- a good excues for a nice ride!).

I intentionally left it high on the top to give it a more "flying" feeling.

Nice creative effort! That got me to try it too. I reversed it so the "N" and "S" read properly. I felt that the trees in the corner help to give depth to the picture, so I left them but did remove the one on one side. I extended the clouds all the way across and cropped it a bit more. Thanks for the inspiration! Creativity is encouraged! Now I think I will use this one as my desktop.
