    Windows XP Admin Control

I went to an internet cafe the other day, and noticed that all their computers had a certain restriction to them. When clicking START, none of the programs showed, my computer/my documents and other drives and folders weren't accessible, files couldnt be downloaded, and internet was pretty limited. The only things that would work were the programs with shortcuts on the desktop.

I run a educational institution and was curious on how these restrictions could be done. Is there a program i need to buy? or are all these options done thru windows? thanks for all your help.

All of the things you described can be done with Windows XP Registry settings. I often make the "C" drive vanish, if I don't want a user to mess around in there.

A basic search should uncover all of these registry tweaks.
