    Yay for new "computer" parts!

So I got my new power supply in the other day and it's awesome. Quiet, (hard to hear if it is on for sure), works great so far. It's fantastic having my computer back!

Went to OfficeMax today to get cheap speakers until we can upgrade (these were $10 on clearance and have a headphone jack on the front, which is what I wanted/needed). Scott & Josh went in and let me sit int he car and read (in the middle of a damn good book!) and they came out 5 minutes later and he said there was a chair in there I should look at. My desk chair has been broken for months after he sat in it and forced it to lean back (not realizing it was in the locked position). Plus the padding was quickly going away. I'd had the chair for several years so it was time regardless. Anyway, found a great chair on sale for $99. The top part is padded well and at the perfect height for my neck. The arms were adjustable height & width, which is also great for me.

So I'm sitting here comfortably listening to music for the first time in over a month (as my music was on my desktop, then when I got the desktop back, I had no speakers). *sigh* I'm happy!

Congrats. I love new computer parts. Just got 2GB of PC3200 memory for my main box today. Installed like a charm.

Dayyum 2GB. I thought 1GB would tidy most people over and then some. You into editing videos now?

I do edit my miniDV tapes and burn to DVD but I also use Photoshop for photo editing. You can never have too much RAM!

Seriously! I use photoshop all the time. and I have Firefox open (normally 2 windows when I'm working) for hours at a time, so memory tends to jump after a while. heh

Well that would be a good enough reason. I have 1GB and yet I see no difference running Photoshop on my little 1.2Ghz Centrino notebook with only 512 ram than on my 3Ghz P4 with 1GB of ram. Maybe I have too much bloatware on my desktop but still.

Anyways, it must feel great to have all that ram. Milk the enjoyment of your new purchase. I hate it when buying something new becomes bleh after using for a few weeks.
