Brand new 7.1 home theater system for sale (50% off!)

    Fellow GAers,

I have on-hand a near complete AV system, brand new unused and in their boxes. I will part with the system for the exact price I paid. Note that this price is actually hugely discounted because of a GA group-buy not too long ago.

Reason for selling: I live in Manhattan NYC and the space/proximity to others simply does not permit a full blown audio system.

    Description of items
    Speakers
#1 (front spkrs) Aurum Cantus Music Goddess Signature [x2]
#2 (rear spkrs) Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 SE [x2]
#3 (surround spkrs) Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 SE [x2]
#4 (center sprkr) Aurum Cantus MR-C MKII [x1]

    Amplifiers
    #5 Kavent P-2200 (Vincent SP-991) Monaural Power Amplifier [x5]
    #6 Kavent P-3300 (Vincent SP-993) Stereo Power Amplifier [x1]

Note that all speakers come with matching stands with machine lathed metal feet. Exception is of course the front speakers which do not need stands.

    Details
I am not going to get into the comments critics have of the speakers, you can read some here:
    Leisure 2 SE:
    Hi-Fi World
    The Audiophile Voice
    eCoustics

    Music Goddess Signature
    eCoustics

    Vincent SP-991
    Home Cinema France

Basically, the whole set is supposed to go together VERY nicely. All you need is a nice controller (such as Parasound Halo C1/C2, Lexicon MC-8/12, Krell Showcase). In fact, I'll throw in my subwoofer (#7), Klipsch Synergy KSW-15, which I bought for $800.

For photo and technical references, please check out the links for each product as all equipments are still in box. Double boxed, in fact.

    Pricing
Like I said, AT COST of my purchase price. I am not looking to make a profit; just need the space.

    #1 front speakers: $1400 / pair
    #2/3 rear/sur speakers + stands: $1260 / 2 pairs
    #4 center speaker + stand: $510 / pair
    #5 mono amps: $3150 / 5 units
    #6 stereo amp: $1050 / 1 unit
    #7 subwoofer: $0 / 1 unit

So, total price is $7370. A very VERY reasonable price since if you shop around online, you will easily pay around $15,000 for this entire set. I can give you the websites selling these components if you're so inclined to know more.

Being perfectly honest, I have to caveat the price with the fact that:
    1) These are unopened/unused and hence, untested.
    2) There is no warranty. Otherwise, the price would not be this low. Of course, the only component that you definitely want to have warranty would be the processor/controller, which is NOT included in this sale.

In short, for $7370, you get a mid-high end 7.1 home theater system.

    Transaction details
I live in NYC, so therefore am willing to deliver to anywhere in tri-state area for FREE.
If you live w/i 2-days' drive from zipcode 10019, then I ask you to split half of the delivery cost (truck rental + gas, ~$100).
If you live elsewhere in the US, please note that the entire system weighs in @ over 700 LBS, therefore would require freight shipping (~$500).

Thank you for your time and consideration. Hopefully you will not miss this deal to some ebay/audiogon buyer. Please contact me at AVsale*at*allenliou*dot*com or reply/PM me directly. No spammers please.

    Regards,
    Allen

----- Edit: I did not mention this, but I am willing to break up and sell separate components. Thank you for your interest.

heh Do you have any heatware or any references? Good luck selling all that on here without it.

I do not have heatware but one can track my ebay feedback (HitoZen) or my involvement in the G|A group buy about 2 years back.

As for references, it's based on communication/engagement of interested buyers and I to establish the trust.

    Thanks for the advice nonetheless.
