    Exclamation Charlton Atheltic

Check out the Official Charlton Atheltic website

Also check out the international Addicks link as well http://www.cafc.co.uk/internationalmembership.ink

I've supported them for almost 10 years and can proudly say I'm Charlton till I die. I've been a fan since the first match I went to. You can either sign up for Valley vision or order one of the season review DVDs from the club shop to see past games. The club is now a well established Premiership side and have just been granted permission to expand their ground 'The Valley' to a capacity of 40,000!
Have a look and if you do sign up I can guarantee it'll be the best decision you'll ever make!

    Sorry, we don't riot here.

We prefer just to kill the opposing players fans with guns. You guys remember guns right. . .

Question Have you got it yet...No...It's a football club!

Charlton Athletic is a football club. It's in the same League as Manchester united, Arsenal and Chelsea (The Premiership)! It was formed in 1905 and is now one of the best football clubs in the country.

They've also just set up a youth academy in the U.S!

Click on the links I placed in the first post for more info.

    Limey, it was a joke.

We know you're talking about soccer, but it's just not that popular across the pond. Us Yanks have our own version of football that we're quite fond of.

Charlton is in SE London on the Thames just east of Isle of Dogs (docks area) and the horrendous Millenium Dome.

I think I've been there before because my company has telecommunications sites near there since that's where many of the international cables land.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

I went to a match at the Valley last fall when I was over on study abroad. Very nice stadium...too bad they lost it 2-1.

Here is a picture of the stadium:

Which game was that then. Also I heard about that David Beckham academy. It's a government funded project to try and get kids into sports, as there's a big thing over here (literally) at the moment about child obesity.

    Here's some more stadium pics

Sorry mate - Mancboy stopped by quite a while ago, singing the praises of Manchester United - in a very high note, from what I remember.

We are now all loyal converts to that particular football club, and we've plans to attend a match & rowdy things up a bit.

never actually been to one. i adopted Arsenal because when I was in London a few years back, everyone around me was an Arsenal fan (maybe because they were undefeated that year).

    Angry .........

He's a follower but not a supporter. Supporters actually go to the games. Followers are the one's that when asked who they support, they randomly pick one of the top 3 teams in the country. When they're asked ask who their favourite player is, they'll mumble 'haven't really got one' because they haven't got a clue what the players are like, cause they haven't seen them play. This is why Man Utd boast a support of 3 million because 2.9 million of those are just followers and haven't got a clue where manchester is. They just use Man Utd as a tool for making conversation.

So if you don't live in the country in which the team is, you are not a fan? I'm sure of the 2.9 million Man U. "followers", they can name at least one favorite player. Plus, alot of the Man U. fans are in Europe and know where Manchester is, since soccer isn't as popular here.

    Follower.

Seriously, I'm a HUGE Hurricanes fan, but when I was growing up I couldn't afford to go to their games, even though I only lived an hour away. Was I not a true fan until I went to college and found a friend with a ticket hook-up that could get me into a classic UM-FSU game (best game I've ever seen, live or on TV, in case you care)?

    Unhappy Sorry!

Sorry about my over dramatic post on the difference between Supporters and followers. Okay there is a subtle difference between followers and supporters but if you're a fan of a team, then you're a fan of a team. It doesn't matter whether you're a follower or supporter, a fan's a fan. I accept that and apologise for my previous comments.

Also have a quick look at this: Valley Vision (Charlton TV)

Can you explain Chelsea? Namely, where the hell did they come from and how they manage to outspend Man United and Arsenal?
