When my grandfather passed away a few years ago, my grandma was really lonely, so we got her a cockatiel. He became her best friend - most spoiled bird I ever knew. It gave her someone to talk to, and something to occupy her days. She only had it for a year and a half, but she was really attached. Well, tonight, it died, and Grandma's taking it pretty hard.when we bought it for her, we made sure to get something with a long lifespan (cockatiels typically live 10-15 years), because we didn't want her to have to deal with another loss!
I'm not sure what to do to make her feel better - another bird doesn't necessarily seem like a great idea. this sucks...

Have a groovy day!
