What Miles Rewards Credit Card do you have?

I'm thinking of applying for an airline miles rewards cards as I'm about to get married and drop a load of money...

So far, my #1 choice is:

Capital One No-Hassle Miles Platinum Card.
PROS: No Black-Out Dates, No Airline Preference
CONS: Uses a higher multiplier for rewards as a result.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for cards?

I get 1 SPG point/$ spent, or can convert to 1.25 miles with my airline.

Aye, I use this one too, although I got in on it when it was only 15k bonus miles for enrolling. I think they just implemented the feature that you get elite qualifying miles for your purchases as well, instead of just miles.

That's pretty good! With the Capital One card I was talking about, it gives the cardholder 10,000 on the first year anniversary and then another 10,000 on the second year anniversary.

How many miles does it take to earn a free ticket with the United card?

We do a lot of our travel through United, but I guess that I am just concerned that they won't be around when it comes time to use the points.

United probably has the best award levels - you can go from the US to Australia for only 60,000 miles - by far the lowest. I used to have that card buy threw a fit when they started hitting me with big foreign currency fees. They didn't do it last year but started to do so this year.

Right now I use a Delta Am Ex. As I live in Atlanta, Delta's hub, it makes the most sense for me. I have lots of miles and have not tried to use them just yet so I don't know if it is easy or not.

If you get the United card, use it for your big expenses and for a while afterward then cancel. The fees on it can be high. My Delta Am Ex waived the forst year fee as part of the promo. Look for something similiar.

I really like the CitiBank American Airlines card...have had it for 15 years.....with both airline miles and hotel stay payments, etc., got it up to just under 5 million miles. Now retired and living off my free miles.

i have the chase rewards card - for air miles - haven't tried to use it yet. saving up miles for one more ticket - but it says it can be used on any airline.......

We use the rewards program Wells Fargo puts out, mainly because it was convenient. I prefer the flexibility to an account with a specific airline or cash back. and btw, it is a VERY smart move to use it for your wedding planning - only been using it since May, and we already have nearly enough for a plane ticket!

Anyway, I think I'm going to apply for the Capital One card since there's no annual fee and a pretty high cap per year for mileage accumulation. My uncle has this card, too, and he likes it.
