I have not had much time for pictures lately, but this past weekend I went on a rafting trip on the American River which is between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. It is one of the best and most popular rivers in North America for rafting since the water is fed by a hydroelectric dam and the water flow is very regular. It is also the site of Sutter's Mill where the California Gold Rush started in 1848. The air temps were in the low 100s, but the water temperature was about 60 so it felt good. Cold for the first few seconds though.
