Danelle you are truly blessed that you don't have this dirtbag in your life, I don't think any amount of alimony could make up for this poor excuse for a man.
Tommy is a prime example of someone "over compensating" for a HUGE insecurity..... Hence the name "Little".

Laura's "Daily Dirt" is so old news by the time she tells us about it. I would have already heard it on another radio show and/or read it in the newspaper a day or two before she tells us the dirt.

Tommy needs to grow up. Jerry needs to retire and stop acting like he is so "almighty" and Jeff sure bores the heck out of me. I actually think Rick is funnier than all of them.

Hey! What do you say we call the dirt line and make up some story, like Jennifer Anniston is stalking Angelina Jolie! That story was so stupid and ridiculous about Courtney Cox. Anyone else??

Jeff and this whole "Wooster Ohio" thing is just boring the crud out of me as well...how ridiculous...he is like a young child that went to his mother's house for his birthday, and had everyone fuss over him, like a little baby.

Wow. I was reading through the posts like this one over the past few days and one thing is clear. most folks doing the "bash" posting should really try another station. What do you think?
    The negativity here is unbelieveable.

Everyone is bashing, that is the idea--can you think of anything really sweet and wonderful to say about the gang? If so, please post.

Something nice? Ok. Let's just say I think that they are entertaining..and they are what they are...They are characters that give folks like you and me a diversion from the everyday. I could care less what Laura looks like, or if Rick is gay, or if Jeff gets married 8 times. That's their lives. Live and let live.

Like I said earlier...if you don't like them or DSC or Roger Hedgecock or whoever. Change the station and find someone you do like.

There are certainly plenty out there.

    Keep smilin', Tom

    I guess so, huh? ha.

I just don't have room for unnecessary negativity. We've all got enough of it around us already. No need to drum up more.

If that's a bad way to be, or it doesn't work for some people, that's ok too. It's just my 2 cents.

Ok, I am now stepping off the soap box! <grin>

Give me a break! Tommy is asking the showgram if they are aware that the minimum credit card payment is going to double for people who carry large balances and make the minimum payment every month. Tommy, Jeff, and Laura all said they have large balances on their credit cards and that this new law impacts them. You have got to be kidding me? BTW, where is Jerry today? Is next week another vacation week for them and Jerry is half way to Italy this morning?

Tom~I'm pretty sure the rest of us enjoy poking fun at them, otherwise we wouldn't come here. We're not ALL bad.

TOM: Well said, I couldn't agree with you more. I have listened to this crew since I was 12 years old. I'm not over 40 but bless all you hotties out there that are. People bitch just because they can. But every hour your listen gives them more raitings = more dollars. How they spend them shoudn't matter to you. Who them spend them on. . . Lets try to keep it light today okay folks.

anyone catch what Laura's request for help was about?

and I like Jeff and Jer. I don't think Rick is going to "replace" Jerry, the long history and partnership he and Jeff has is part of the unique entertainment they have.

And I have to say, the whole Wooster Ohio thing was something I really liked...I've always gotten a kick out of his family stuff, for some reason.

Ok. there's my positive contribution for the day. Don't ask for this too often, don't know if I can take it.

Making that much money and still living paycheck to paycheck. Just sad. Guess Tommy had to rack up the credit cards for his divorces/alimony in addition to bail for his wife beating and stalking charges....

I was also curious about what the plea was since I didn't listen to the show until late. I'm not into the song writing competition so I'm avoiding the show altogether.

I also don't see Rick taking over for Jerry. I think they'll both retire together when the time comes. They have been together for so long, I don't see them substituting in the future.

Laura's plea for help has been postponed until after the first of the year...apparently there were "red-tape" issues, but she promised that it will happen.

Jeff's song was great--I didn't think I would enjoy this segment either, but so far it has been very entertaining. He even got a voice message from Nina saying that she liked it.

Ditto...I can't imagine spending my mornings without J&J and the rest of the crew. I love reading Laura's diary and hearing about their personal stories (those are usually the funniest part of the show--especially Jeff's and Laura's).

Can you remember any of the lyrics?? I was on a business call both times that they played it.

I agree with you also. I enjoy the morning show. I get tired of listening to them sometimes but, I always come back. I like it when they share about the kids!!

My prediction for what Laura will need help with is. . .

I think they are going to try to get Extreme Home Makeover to do over someones house she knows and have listeners write in or show up when they film a video. It would be great publicity for 94.1 and ABC to cross promote via radio and tv.

Just my hunch. I like the posivite vibe so far this afternoon.

Jeff's song was very heartfelt, I teared up on the way to work. Basically it was all about how he has been so unlucky in love, leaving one and one left him. A double looser. And how he is in it for a "one life stand" even though his friends told him to date and loose weight. He wanted to show his parents he too could find the love of a lifetime just like they had. He never mentioned Kristins name tho. A shout out would have been nice. Very sweet song.

"I'm a two time loser, Ive Loved and Left and Ive loved and Lost"
I think the chorus is "I'm looking for a either (Life stand or lifetime) Love" the stand comes to mind because part of the song says that "his friends tell him to lose some weight and get out and date, have some one night stands"
another part was that "in his parents lifetime, he wants them to see that he has been able to experience the same kind of love that they have."

Rick was singing "I need to find a taco stand, so I can get a carnitas? burrito in my hand" <~I loved that, maybe because I LOVE burritos

    PS..
I don't think those of us that make fun of J&J hate or dislike them, they just make it so dang easy to dish on and I'm a girl and it's fun-no excuses.
If you had a younger sibling then you know what I am talking about
When we were young I could make my younger sister so mad at the dinner table and my parents would have no clue, but by the same token, nothing I ever did got by them~thanks to my shadow tattletale. Now we are best friends and talk on the phone everyday. So don't think I'm a hater, just the Meanie older sister that never lets you wear her clothes.

I agree. I have listened to them since they got here in SD. They are entertaining and I don't care too much about their personal lives as long as they entertain me. If one of you ardent bashers was a DJ I'm sure all the rest of us could find a lot of good stuff to bash you about. I love Michael Jackson music. Pretty obvious I wouldn't have a whole lot to like him personally about. Same goes for J&J, I like the show. No I don't like Laura, she isn't a good DJ to me, but I like all the rest of the show as a show.

OK, I did my 3 in a row. Back to the shadows.

It was about their "thank you" for the listeners switching over with them to the new STAR. It's going to be 11/10 at the Hilton Torrey Pines and they are giving away money and a car. They had to bring the VP of Clear Channel on the phone today - just like they used to bring Tracy Johnson on for those "special announcements"...their way of getting everyone excited. Doesn't work on me. They could have told us in 30 seconds what took them all morning....you know, like usual when they want to hype something up. They'll be giving away tickets some morning at 5 different locations. I think details are coming later. I turned off the radio when I got bored with their hype so I might have missed it.

yah the announcement was supposed to be at 7:00. They didnt even say it till like 7:20..they just drag it on and go on and on like they have nothing else to talk about. I am going to go. I guess the band "heareos" is going to be playing.
