You may be right about Laura...as far as Tommy, doesn't he just have an "everything" past? Drinking, drugs, burglary, wife beating, cheating...need I go on?

I haven't been here for a long time and glad to be back to remind me while I don't listen to Jef and Jer. I heard the other day on Dave, Sally and Chainsaw that a recent poll taken of the favorite 100 radio stations in the Country showed that DSC came in at 22. Jef and Jer barely came in at 65. Just goes to show you how terrible their show is. There is no substance at all, except for apparently the substance Laura was using that explains her absence. I do though, wish her luck. Truly. I hope the mental institution she is in gets her back on track.

I heard a little of the show this morning...Delana had to list five things she really liked, and it included a snorkle radio. She evidently likes to snorkle.
I think I like her a lot. That was one of the funniest things they have done in a loooong longggg time...called her friends to verify that she did a lot of snorkling. A funny bit in my opinion.
I would like for Laura to really take good care of herself and take a couple more weeks off. Delana can handle it for her. No, really, Laura. Take some more time off. Not once have I had to say that Delana bugged me while Laura was gone. Not once.
I heard Tommy call into Rick and Jen today and asked Jen to come on the morning show and do the daily dirt. Tommy told her she could do it until she got tired of it and/or complained. Do you think they are thinking of replacing Laura with Jen? What's wrong with Delana? She's growing on me too.
Jen gets old fast, too. Remember when she was on the morning show? Totally irritating. We need to mount a "Keep Delana" platform. Maybe New Reader can help - everyone loves and respects her!

I think Delena just had the day off. Why would Jen want to be a third or fourth banana on the morning show. She's top banana with Rick on the afternoon show.
The only time Jen was interesting in the morning was when they painted that latex top on her and posted the picture on their web site.
If Laura is back on Monday she timed it perfectly. Jeff and Jer will be on vacation either next week or the week after for their bi-monthly week off.
Yeah, I thought about that too when Jeff started talking about his long vaca to Australia. Working 3 days in April....not bad! Where can I sign up for that?

Long-time lurker here posting for the first time...please be gentle. I was thinking that maybe laura has been in treatment for an eating-disorder or something. She keeps talking about gaining weight and learning to like herself. what do you think?

Ordinarygirl: Welcome. As was said above, as long as you're not the Vice President of the "We Love Jeff and Jer Fanclub" ('cause the president job is filled by New Reader), we're happy to have you lurking around.
Our speculation is that this is a court-ordered rehab because why is she so restricted? Even Britney Spears could get out and about periodically in her country-club rehab. And, we're also thinking that Laura is in another state because Tommy has to "fly" to see her. Something bad must have happened to her to have her go to these extremes.
Personally, I feel bad for her husband, who's constantly left holding the bag, and her children. And, if they got a dog while she was gone - I feel bad for that dog! They can't even watch themselves no less a dog.
NO WAY it's an eating disorder. She wasn't fat but NEVER that skinny. The way she used to talk about needing wine to take the edge off of dealing with her kids and the daily mundane tasks, etc sounds more like alcohol or perhaps drugs. She does sound very disorganized though with so many things to do all the time. She forgets she works half of a full time job if that.

I didn't hear if Jen actually was on the morning show reading the daily dirt. I like Jen a lot more now than when she was on before. She used to put her foot in her mouth so many times. People would call in and scold her constantly.
Another long-time lurker in this thread. Also a former J&J listener. While I occassionally tune to their show, it is rare. I do check their website.
The rehab idea seems to be the most passed around about Laura's absence. I did read another possibility on another board. Someone suggested that Laura was gone because she was on some reality show [like Big Brother, etc.]. Just figured I would throw that out.
Oh, and thank you for all of your hilarious posts. I think I keep up with the show more from this thread than anything else.
I don't think it would be a reality show because they don't allow visitors. Anyway, what kind of reality show could Laura possibly be a part of??? Laura and reality just don't go together.

I would doubt that because Tommy's been visiting her. Seems like whenever people do reality TV, they don't have access to friends/family until it's over...
