She may be here now...That sounds kinda fast though, in terms of tyin' up the loose ends.

I think her last day was just this past Friday. I saw that post about Kristen's going away party last week on her website, so I'm assuming it was last Friday, then this morning Jeff was talking about them going to a college football game back there this past weekend.

Again, uncomfirmed sources put Jeff and Jer's salary at $3 million each. Tommy makes around $1 million himself. Randy, Rick, and Laura are just tagalongs and don't make much but still pull in pretty good bank for what they do.

    JingleBall

Sorry but could it be any Stinkier????? P-U!
Los Lonely Boys they are playing the Indian Gaming casino circuit
Hootie and the Blowfish--can't remember the last time I heard about them
    Train-?? Alanis-??
I will admit they are good, I'm not intending to bash the artists, but I simply can not justify what it costs to go to JingleBall to see these guys when you can see them for free (or close to free at a casino~comped~ or county fair)
On sale Fri at 10am $250-$45 I'm calling Turko- "It AIN"T RIGHT!!"

    I know I know Becky's House...

I am realizing what excites people 50+, most likely will not excite me
Maybe I'm having a midlife music station crisis?? Too old for 93.3 all day and too young for this station.
Want to laugh listen to 103.7 Heidi, Frosty and Frank at 11am, they are now broadcasting locally

Oh and Dumbfounded (and everyone else guilty) the links so kindly provided for us in the messages explain what neffing is, you might want to click on them(since someone took the time to provide the link for you). If you are too busy, in plain english it says don't reply/post a bazillion times when you could make your ONE post longer with ALL your thoughts on ONE post.
Example scroll up and see that you post 4 or 5 times immediately after one another, look at this post I posted in regards to Jingleball AND to You instead of making two separate posts.

I must say, 100K per year seems like a whole lot to me..and they probably make more than that..the tagalongs...I know some executives who barely pull that much in after taxes.

Great, I will be sure to follow your smart example! Oh, and I am close to 50, don't care for Hootie and the Blowfish, sorry...Los Lonely Boys who? Alanis is really great and I do like Train..tickets sound a bit too high..Sports Arena is also not the best venue to see a concert...sorry, I Pay One Stadium...

Can you tell me how to do this? I did it once but didn't know how to do it...it just happened. I thought that if I did a couple posts within minutes, they somehow came together but I guess that's not it.

    Thanks!

I have to agree. I haven't heard anyone on the list so far that I'd pay to see. I'm sure it's tough getting acts on shorter notice than usual but when Jeff said, "Seeing Hootie is like seeing Jimmy Buffet." Whaaaaat? I don't think so. I'm not even a Buffet fan but he has a huge following. Sorry Hootie.

And it's funny hearing Laura act excited when they announce the bands. She needs to try a little harder. I could fake it better than she does. Eh, I'm not a good liar. I take that back.

Alanis was at Jingle Ball years ago and she looked like she was in a drug induced state bobbing back and forth all over the stage.

We'll have to see who else is playing. I don't know why they don't get Barenaked Ladies back. They are always a hit when they perform. Of course, Bon Jovi is always fantastic!

Perhaps THE BEAN BAR! Nice banner! I'm thinking that the LAST thing she needed was caffeine.

I'm not going to go unless they add a good act.

Barenaked Ladies was "the bomb" a few years back, 2001 I believe. That was the best Jingle Ball with Stevie Nicks, Sugar Ray, Barenaked Ladies, Alanis and Blondie (bombed) Did anyone notice our friend Little Tommy cutting off the Hootie and the Blowfish song in the middle while they were announcing them? Got the feeling he wasn't too pleased. What about Def Leppard? They are awesome as well..
Seems like the whole thing is an afterthought this year.

I know I'm a couple days late, but I always wondered what term for "neffing" was. Now I know. I guess that's why I'm still and ensign. I only say something when I really have something to say. Well, with the exception of this post. LoL

Chris knows what every happily married husband knows

If Mama ain't happy nobody's happy
and if Mama's happy she'll make Daddy very happy

I think in our society people give up to easily, but what they don't realize is that you can either learn to deal with your current spouses "baggage" or you can move on and get new "baggage" with your new partner compound that with all your old baggage plus their old baggage.

Congratulations Chris! It's rare to "meet" other people who've been married as long as I have~
and still speak with love/pride about their spouse! <~and that's the key

    Kristen

Did anyone hear her on the show this morning. Jeff supposedly dialed her by mistake (yeah...right). Anyway....she sounds like a teeny bopper. He was all gushy and said he calls her about 40 times a day and then told her he loved her. Not a real good radio moment.

Sorry I missed that...NOT My ears must've used auto-shut-off, cause I missed that.

40 times a day???, kind of reminds me when my daughter was in Jr Hi.
I am not an expert by any means, but ok let's look at the big picture. Divorces wife #2 in January and moves in potential wife #3 in 10 months of meeting her and even at 10 months, it's a long distance relationship-
they met within a few months of the break up (rebound??) and now he is obsesively (sp?) calling her..hhmm??

Wow IMHO I really think they are off to a great start...
That positive statement was made specifically for Tom. (my fingers were crossed behind my back )

    Jeff & Kristen

I heard it. She sounds nice...and I'm happy for him. I hope it works out. He's my favorite one on the showgram. I don't know if I'd listen if he weren't on since most of the rest are irritating. Speaking of...where was Jer this AM? Can't these people put in a full week anymore?

I didn't listen to most of the show this AM. I don't need to listen to 1/2 hour of shameless plugs for their new breakfast place.

  28. #418
What's really tough about this situation is that you will never be able to convince someone in the "honeymoon" stage to slow down. I think Jeff's a good guy, but sometimes when you're in a rebound state you'll cling to just about anything. I just hope all the baggage has been shared/communicated.

    Switchfoot and B-52's

Seriously I'm laughing really hard. They can't even fake being excited and it's really funny. It's like Rick and Laura keep saying the same things..oh I love that song. Oh I love them...yeah right I loved b-52's 15 years ago.
I'm not blaming them, I wouldn't be able to fake it either, but it's funny listening to them try.

Did you catch Whoever the guy is that booked the groups say that Switchfoot wanted as much money as another group, but he said they weren't worth it and that they settled for a lesser amount and that he knew that they would end up settling. Then Jeff said something like "they're no Train" or "they won't pull in the people like Train"
I think they are both in the same category, and making comments like that is probably the reason they have such crappy acts.

Train is the headliner, nuf said
