I liked that song back in like the 80's but one of the best songs of all time??? And for Jerry to go on and on about it for soooooo long this morning just goes to show all the more that they really have absolutely nothing to talk about anymore on the radio. That and Laura's really lame bit on "how well do you know me" LAME, LAME, LAME. Because it was her birthday they had to humor her and play some stupid bit. It was really worthless radio. Why would they think that anyone would give a crap what their 3 favorite tv shows are or movies or anything else for that matter.

I didn't see it. Maybe the web guys were putting together two pages so they can have it up right away as soon as it's announced.

I guess we can all look forward to All Idol Radio All The Time.

Speaking of the site, did you see the video from the punked on Randy?

I'll have to admit, they are trying. But the gag was lame. The point of punked is to get the person upset. Randy would not get upset. They should punk Laura instead. She would freak out and that would be entertaining.

They already know the winners because of the time difference i wanted katherine to win

    hhmmmmm

Rick did gossip. Isn't that Laura's job?
    Haven't heard Laura this morning.

Oh that's right last night was her big birthday party.

    please explain

Okay please no one take offense. . . I truly am looking for an education. . . .

Why can't alchocolics (sp?) choose to only drink for special events, why does it have to be all or nothing. Like why can't they drink on new years, st. patricks day, their birthday, weekends in Vegas. . . but reserve themselves during the 4 o'clock airing of the Oprah show? I just don't get why it is so black and white with that?

    No one "knows" for sure
Some say it's chemical, some say emotional, some say genetics, some say its a disease.

If you had the answer to your question you'd be a millionaire.

    Court Radio

Are they lazy or what? They are airing court TV reporting Enron trial.

Oh what a surprise (sarcastic tone) they are not talking about American Idol all the time today.

Where is Laura today? Is she on her booze cruise houseboat vacation finally this weekend? Have we finally heard the end of her houseboat vacation?

    Redundant

This is the third time they have had Taylor Hicks father on the show. I would have rather they spent more time talking about LOST than Idol. This season of Idol was also boring. No real talent.

I did notice Laura wasn't into work today. Hmmmm....

Randy and Rick sure don't have as much airtime as they did several months ago.

Let's hope, if we really care, that now that LOST and Idol are over with for now, that J&J can come up with some really "worth" it material. They just don't make me laugh anymore.

Oh, I think Jeff is getting married in August, so I'm sure we will be hearing all about that for the next couple of months. I think I will ask Jer to give me some of his Ambien's so I can bear to listen to the show anymore. But then that is probably why he drinks and takes pills so much. That is the only way he can get through the boring radio show.

It's a simple thing called addiction. One taste of it and they are back at it again. Same thing with smoking.

Well....I believe it is called The Jeff & Jer Showgram....not the Randy and Rick Showgram. LOL

Jeff is getting married sometime the week of August 21 . The reason why I remember is that he's bummed that he's going to miss the American Idol Tour (which is here Aug 25).

He is probably looking to find his NEXT wife from the American Idol girls - you can never start too early (or get them too young, apparently).

Sounds like he wants to go to the Dallas Idol concert.

Don't know how Mandesa is going to do with this tour - she's stated on several occasions in the news that she will not perform for "gays"......their lifestyle is immoral, yada yada yada. Hello, lady - did you think that you weren't going to run across a homosexual or two in the ENTERTAINMENT industry? And, it's a shame, because she could have been their new "Judy Garland".......

Yah, but there are quite a few of us who think that Rick (and even Randy) are funnier than what Jeff and Jer have been of late.

    Hmm Lame

Did you all hear Jerry make a comment about Fantasia being illiterate. That was a low comment. Sometimes making fun of a person can be done in good taste and no harm with it, but then comments like Jerry made, are not cool. Another strike against the old man that he is.

Does anyone know what Hani's middle name is?

    I Laughed Out LOUD!

Rick is funny! I cracked up when he said "We're going to make a Go-Cart out of a dishwasher"

I'm going to put Laura bashing on hold.
I really hope that everything works out for her.

I don't like Jerry and I didn't hear his comment to know his tone, but Fantasia is illiterate and recently released a book talking about her life. She talks about signing contracts she didn't understand, not being able to read to her daughter, etc. A movie is being made about Fantasia's life and she is going to star in it.

Jerry was saying ten reasons why David Hasslehoff was crying on Am. Idol the other night. One of the reasons (not word for word) is that Hasslehoff was upset that he had to give up a seat that was for Fantasia cos she didn't know it was her seat cos she couldn't read the seat number. And then Jerry proceeded to laugh. Laura told him that wasn't nice. Good for Laura.

I agree with you about Laura. I hope she gets her life back on track. I do have to say though, regardless of what she is going through now, she is still kinda whacky.

I still think Rick and Randy are alot funnier and more entertaining than J&J.

The scary thing is - It's "that" wackiness that I can totally relate to. My family totally believes that my Dad is "around" and has done stuff.

    I agree with you!!
    More Rick & Randy

    Jer dying his hair????

Regarding the segment this morning about Jerry possibly dying his hair. He said he would first have to check with Pam (of course). Then you can bet that he will not go the Jeff route and buy the dye at a super market. He will go to a hair colorist and get it done right.

Why did they feel it necessary to start up about Jerry's "song" again? And now we have to hear each one of their pics for "best song ever" bits tomorrow??? Who gives a flying frick what songs THEY like? Do they think anyone is that hung up on THEM? (Ohhhh, I wonder what Laura's favorite song in the world is? It would give me such insight into her soul to know. And Jeff's, jeez, I wonder what his is? I can't wait to find out. It will just make my days so much more productive having the knowledge. Maybe I can even play their songs during the day, just to help me feel closer to them.) GIVE ME A BREAK! I really need out of my car pool.

Anyone happen to catch if Laura made it through the holiday weekend without a drink? I figured they'd make a big deal about it if she did and wouldn't mention a thing if she didn't.

I think Laura's favorite song is "Red Red Wine"

    Jerry???????????????????

I listen to the afternoon show going home (all of 5 minutes).....the afternoon guy, Michael (who took over for Mel, who was dumped, apparently) sounds just like Jer's old tapes of when he was a "DJ" in Maryland. He's a dead ringer for him. In fact, one afternoon, my husband said "are they on in the afternoon TOO?" (he's not a big showgram fan).

Maybe there IS no Michael - maybe it's Jerry working to earn all of the $$$$ they pay him at that station? Maybe he felt bad that Mel got her pink slip? Maybe he likes to wear pink slips? Who knows.

Well goodness. What, a whole hour or so on having to listen to the songs. Rick's choice was the best. Gerry's was lame and boring and yet this was his idea.

I will say, I did enjoy hearing the callers who "escaped" from a mental institution. I wonder which of the J&J crew know any of this from first hand experiences. Hmmmm......

Well, why don't they make Laura work in the afternoon. She is not worth the money they are paying her. None of them is anyway.
