Im gonna give Laura some credit for her song choice I think it is actually a really good one. I love that song, they are all listed on the website if anyone missed it. Laure picked Fragile by Sting. Absoutly beautiful song. Im surprised Rick didn't pick Bohemian Rhapsody, since he went with Queen that seemed like a logical pick but oh well.

They are still airing LA Weight Loss commercials with Mel's voice. Can they PLEASE get rid of her altogether? Her voice is the most annoying thing on radio. They did the right thing.

Saw short, fat Tommy with Hani waiting to scoop out some soup this morning as I drove by, (I work right down the street). Funny, when I drove by absolutely no one was there. They were both just standing there looking around. I didn't have an empty cup or I might have gotten some. I actually eat lunch at LiL Pepper Deli sometimes and it is quite good. Anyway, seeing short, bloated Tommy that early in the morning would make anyone lose their appetite.

On my way to work (5am-ish) I heard them replaying something about nervous breakdown's and Laura was insisting that Jeff has had one. Everyone else on the show said they thought that he hadn't HAD one but that he is ABOUT TO have one. Sounded like there is some stress on Jeff's homefront. Also Jeff's sound the other day was "the Dance" which is about being thankful for what you've gone through (i.e. Nina). I thought he would play the "Broken Road" song which would be more about Kristen. ..

Maybe the wedding in August is actually Nina's? Just a guess.

I do have to admit that our Mayor was a pretty good sport in putting up with the soup gig.

True, true. I'm sure he was totally ok with it.

Besides, they've been talking about it for a week or more, so chances are that *someone* in the Mayor's office heard about it and tipped him off...even if it wasn't directly from the J&J Showgram...I'm sure he knew.

I missed most of it too. Yesterday I heard it was National "Zoup" Day and of course, that had something to do with Hanni giving out soup this AM but that's all I heard. I haven't been listening this week. Their favorite songs yesterday and handing out soup today. What a snoozer this week has been!

Yep, they keep referring to drinking. Great, eh? NOT. Stupid, yes. Poor Laura, here she is trying to stay sober and they go on like they do. Jef and Tommy sure do need to get a life. Maybe they both washed down Jer's Ambien with booze before coming into work today.

I think the reason for one whole show almost devoted to "their" favorite songs and now todays show, devoted to tv show theme songs, is because they have absolutely no new material and they put this boring stuff on the air.

You know, more and more of what they do on air revolves totally around them. There is less and less interaction with listeners and more bits where they are just talking amoung themselves like the listeners are not even there. They go on and on about the lamest things. And Jerry always seems to come up with these bits where he says something like he did today. What is your favorite tv show, what is your favorite person on tv??? You have to give your 1st answer that comes to your mind, no thinking about it. Like that really reveals so much but then they go on around and around about themselves and kill a good 10-15 of air time and jeez, a few of those bits, mixed in some news and commercials every 10 minutes and they have there daily $$$ earned. Sickning.

Here's a suggestion...listen from 5 to 9 to Monique on Jack FM who is smart, refreshing and very funny....then from 9 to 10 tune into J&J and listen to a repeat of the first part of the show for that day. It's a lot more enjoyable that way.

But is Monique actually on in the morning? I mean I know she is there, but I thought they played tons of songs and commercials and don't actually do any bits. I really enjoyed Gregg and Sara tho from when they were on together in the afternoons. I just might try her!

    Laura needs to drink

Ever since Laura has supposedly stopped drinking, she has been worse than ever on the radio. She keeps trying to chime in with funny remarks that are anything but funny. I guess before she was too hung over to say anything - those were the days. Being sober has not helped her keep her diary up-to-date either. Drunk or sober - once a slacker, always a slacker. Today they made some comments about how Laura is all about family and home. Give me a break - she is always out on the town, putting her own selfish needs ahead of others, and she just bought a house after years of living in squalor. She sleeps the days away, forgets to pick her child up from school, and is the neighborhood liquor store's customer of the century - quality to the bone. What else - she lets her kindergarten son roam the streets unsupervised, lets him watch rate R movies, lets him watch shows like LOST and Desperate Housewives which are on too late for him and are inappropriate in content. I bet the staff at her son's Christian school love the drunk mom Laura Cain...

Thats the norm for Clear Channel. They own you. They did the same thing to Cindi Spicer. She's on Star and US 95. They get as much out of you as possible.

Oh yes....she is very much on. She is also very knowledgeable about music and has a lot of say as to what is played.

I heard Jen the other day with Rick in the afternoon, too. Apparently she doesn't have the "job" yet - they may be auditioning a bunch of different people with Rick to find a chemistry. I'm hoping Jen isn't it. Perhaps they were working with Laura (back when the morning show was all Rick and Laura) - but that didn't work out.

When Jen was on with Greg in the afternoons, all she used to talk about was her wedding. If they do put her on the air, I hope Bridezilla already had her wedding day because we don't want to hear about it (learn from Star Jones).

I thought the same at first and found out it appeared in every thread.

    Jen...Yea!!

I heard Jen on Sunday with Mike. At that time she said she was 'trying out' for the job.
I really like her and hope they put her on for the drive home, like she was with the old Star.
Then, perhaps when Jer retires it can be the Jeff and Jen show!
Yes...I'm still here and I'm still the ONE that enjoys the J&J showgram on a daily basis!

I really like Jen too and I hope she gets the job, I think she would be great with Rick, if at least he doesn't think he is too high and mighty after working with J and J. Time will tell, but I bet they give it to her, and I bet she works for cheap. Anyone know what a normal DJ takes home at the end of the year - not Jeff and Jer money just normal. . .??

Jen is not a seasoned veteran....She's still young and wet behind the ears I would bet her salary is in the $30K range.
