I'm happy to report that it wasn't "the one"....happy because now I get to try out the next recipe on the list which was submitted by Daisy

Although it wasn't the "the one" it was a raging success as evidenced by the fact that there is only one slice and a few crumbs left...my friends were very willing guinea pigs

1 1/4 cups cheddar cheese -- shredded and divided
    8 ounces sour cream

Wash, dry and prick potatoes with fork. Bake in 400°F oven for 1 hour or until done. Let cool. Cut into half lengthwise and scoop out pulp; set aside. Use skins for something else, such as stuffed potato skins. Melt butter in heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add potato pulp, salt, pepper, 2 Tbs. green onion, half the bacon and 1 cup cheese. Cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in sour cream. Add extra milk if necessary for desired consistency. Serve with remaining green onions, bacon and cheese.

there you go! i'll let you know how it comes out!!
Thank you! I'm going to give that a try this week, I think.

I don't always log on either.
Oh, and by the way, for those who have asked...no, I don't have any alliance with Tom Gamboa and I don't work in a print shop. I chose my name very, very carefully and with much contemplation and creative thought. The afternoon that I decided to become a DC member I looked around my home office and saw the PRINTER...ta-daaaaa!
Ok, so I'm not that clever.

I would be #14. Never read a HP book, never saw a HP movie. As much as I hear of people loving them, I don't feel I am missing anything by not reading/seeing.

As for the rest of your list, I have watched [read: it was on in the background while I was on the computer] maybe two or three AI episodes [and not the entire episode]. I have seen portions of Survivor only while venturing into the TV room where my husband and SIL were holed up watching it. Have never seen The Apprentice, Deal or No Deal, The Bachelor or The Sopranos. I also have not seen an episode of Sex in the City or the movies Pretty Woman or Titanic.

At the risk of being flamed here [and I hope I am not and that we all can agree to disagree and have different opinions], if Jake was in a hole today, I will be in a similar hole should the Chargers go all the way to the Super Bowl. I was at the game today [thank you to my work] and when the Chargers were obviously going to win, I told my husband that if they went to the Super Bowl, I would be spending the day at Disneyland [like I did the last time they went that far].

I have one that I make in the crockpot that I love.

BAKED POTATO SOUP for the Crockpot

3 Potatoes (peeled and diced in small pieces)
    3 tablespoon Margarine
    1 White Onion (chopped)
    2 tablespoon all-purpose Flour
    4 cup chicken stock
    2 cup Water
1 ½ cup Instant Mashed Potato Flakes
    1 teaspoon Salt
    1 teaspoon Pepper
    1 teaspoon chopped Garlic
    1 cup Half-n-half
¾ pound Bacon (cooked and chopped)
    ½ cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
    2 Green Onions (chopped)

Peel and dice potatoes and boil until done (approx. 10 minutes). Drain. Meanwhile, cook bacon and chop onions.
Melt margarine in skillet and sauté onion until tender. Take one cup of water and add two tablespoons of flour in a jar and shake. Add this mixture to the butter/onions. It will make a roux; keep it moving over low heat.
Put drained potatoes in crockpot. Top with chopped bacon and onion mixture.

Combine chicken stock, one cup of water, half-n-half, potato flakes, salt, pepper and garlic.
Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
Serve with cheddar cheese and/or green onions on top if desired. Accompany with a hot French or Sourdough loaf and butter.

We were watching The Nanny Diaries after the Charger Win and the Nanny was making COQUILLE ST. JACQUES! We however, had steak and grilled onion sandwiches and shared with the dogs and the bird while we watched Miss Marple on PBS.

I am not a Colts Fan, do like Peyton though, nice guy, but not his brother Eliah with the Giants. I am however a major Cheesehead - GO PACKERS!

    Or Beryl...or Morganite....or Heliodor.....that would have sucked!

Also, if one looks up the characteristics of "Emerald" they find:

    "COLOR: various shades of green."
    "CLEAVAGE: one direction, poor."

    Hmm....bummer about that cleavage.
hmph!...nothin' "poor" about my cleavage although the properties of the emerald's cleavage sound better than that of the sapphire which is:

    SAPPHIRE
CLEAVAGE: none, although there is a rhombic parting

..don't fancy having a rhombic parting in my cleavage....

    I'm also glad I wasn't called Beryl

Yep, they're called "Finger Cots" but don't ask me how I know this. Check 'em out at the drug store next time you go.

If FH hasn't had the snip, he should use them, to avoid being a recipient of the Darwin award this year.

I feel like there should be a foot note, or quotation marks surrounding the word compelte when used to refer to FH and his sexual activites.

I just don't see how at his size he could make a woman feel "complete" in a sexual way. Unless, of course, complete in this case means being steam rolled.
