Does anyone know how Jeff's friend passed away? I remember hearing him on the radio! So sad, I hope Jeff doesn't go into another deep depression.

I just saw this on the web page. When did this happen? Hasn't Jeff been on the air all week long? It says Jeff is currently off the showgram for a couple of days to attend the funeral but I can hear him on this morning and he seems fine.

Here is the link to Jeff's friend's accident

They probably are doing replays. They'll take any excuse they can get to get out of actually working.

And what the heck is up with Laura's face in the pictures on the web? Her face is such a different color than the rest of her body. Must be all that fake tanning or something. And those outfits! I hope she is kidding about them. I wouldn't be caught dead in any of them. UGLY, of course it doesn't help that she has absolutely NO FIGURE! (hahaha, I am in an exceptionally Laura bashing mood today aren't I??)

I know that we spend a lot of fun time bashing the showgram, but I do feel sorry for Jeff right now. He's a lot of things (and we bash about that, too) - but one thing he truly seems to be is a good friend, especially to his old friends from the 'hood.

It's always such a tragedy when someone dies so young (he was 51). He was wearing his helmet, but still - motorcycles are dangerous. There isn't much "insulation" from you and someone in a Lincoln Navigator, talking away on their cell phone (and paying no attention) or from the soccer mom waving her right arm towards the back seat of the car saying "hey you kids, knock it off or I'm gonna smack you clear into next week"(that's what I'd get from MY Italian Momma from Brooklyn, NY).

Drive defensively - I'd miss one of you guys if something happened to you. You guys make me laugh (more than the showgram!) This has been a public service announcement from Listener13 - "The More You Know (rainbow swoosh)" - and now, back to our regularly scheduled bashing.

In defense of drivers who aren't paying attention to the road(and I know there shouldn't be), Jeff's friend died while losing control of his motorcyle and hitting a guardrail. There was no other vehicle around. I agree motorcycles are dangerous and your risk of dying from an accident of any type is much greater on a bike than inside a car. He knew the risks and took them anyway. He went out in style and I'm sure died doing what he must have loved since most motorcycle riders do it for the thrill regardless of their high chances of dying while riding.

    Jeff's tragic life, part 1000

Yes, I agree that it's very sad that Jeff's friend Mark died, especially if he had a family with young children. Jeff has indicated that Mark was a mega Christian - I sure hope he was not trying to pray while riding his motorcycle - that would make steering rather difficult. It's always important for aspiring pastors and practicing religious nuts to keep both hands on the wheel. Visualize the hands together, but don't actually perform the act. Just a tip. Speaking of tips, do you know what the leper said to the prostitute? > "Keep the tip."

It is strange that Jeff always seems to attract tragedy. I bet he was devastated by the news. I can picture him lying on his bedroom floor in nothing but his white briefs, toupee on the nightstand, holding himself in a fetal position, and crying - while listening to Celine of course...

Now, THAT'S a mental image we could have all lived without - thanks, Boris ........but like Celine says (or should I say, sing/screams), "My Heart Will Go On". That, and "hey, beoytch, stay away from my ancient husband, René Angélil" (I hope you read his name in your best French head-voice).

    Jeff is the Glue

I'm listening to the showgram this morning - why, dunno. If anything, it blocks out the sound of all the overhead pages at my company.

It's evident to me that Jeff is the glue that holds that show together (I know it's only Elmer's Glue, but it's glue, nonetheless). They're kinda floundering without him.

If Jerry does his three-eyed frog story (or whatever the hell that was), I'm done!

And, what's with Laura borrowing shoes? Hello! She gets stuff handed to her on that show all the time. She said that she and Dave are having "banking" issues. Hmmmmm, that MIGHT be understandable if she paid for those Bardon Cabinets, but she didn't.

I agree. If they are broke, it's because she's incapable of living within her means. I guess all the liquor can add up... She's just saying she needs to borrow shoes to get attention - to turn the spotlight of sympathy on herself.

If you want to play in the big league, you'd better wear a cup baby! I do feel bad that his friend died, but does he have to try and include us in his sorrow? That is very woman-like. Most men would keep their grief to themselves and would not sob on the radio. His relationship with his buddy was a little over the top - a little Oprah meets Gayle. He said he could not even pull himself together enough to go to work after his second divorce, so he'd call Mark from his car and he'd walk him though it. Very needy. But it is sad when one loses a good friend, I agree, and I do feel bad for Jeff.

    Jan Sewell

    Returning to the radio

Former Star 100.7 FM personality Jen Sewell-Sorenson will be back on the local airwaves, and back on Star. Sewell-Sorenson left Star 100.7 last year when the station changed its name and flipped to the Jack format, but she will be back on Star 94.7 (KMYI-FM), where her afternoon shift begins Aug. 7.

    Jen

That's good news - I actually liked Jen's show. I think they should give her Laura's job. Then Laura could be a sales rep for Bardon Cabinets, or house boats, or whatever. In Laura's diary today she says that Rick had surgery. Hope he's doing well - he is one of the bright spots on the show. Gosh I'm being nice, must be Friday...

    Stealing from Children

You guys have got to read Laura's Diary for today. Apparently, she's taking money out of Charlie's piggy bank because she has no $$$$, and when he offered to buy them ice cream - she took that too !

Does anyone have ANY idea of what she does with her money? Maybe she's working for the station for free (she's an intern?)

  20. #1880

    Laura

Ew... I sure didn't expect to see a close-up photo of Laura's toes on 94.1! That's a sight I never want to see again!

What?! Are you darn kidding me here? I need to go catch up on her diary.

    *edit*
I've not yet made it to her diary, but I've gotten as far has her toes. That woman does NOT have pretty feet.

She donates her money to the local liquor store.

She's like a bad series of horror movies - like Friday the 13th -the nightmare never ends. First we were knocked senseless with her horse-like face; then we were nearly gassed to death by her boy-like figure; next the image of her enormous nose and mannish facial features caused vomit to spew from our innocent lips; and finally we wee her snosage toes - my eyes no longer work. I am blind, I say, blind....Dam her!!!!

Classy lady. You can trust someone who steals from children - but we forget that the world revolves around Laura. I wonder if the people at her reunion know she had a staph infection on her scalp. I am considering selling packages of rubber gloves and hand sanitizer at the door.

I was talking about the rest of them taking any excuse not to work, not about Jeff. Losing an old friend is hard and regardless of how much I may dislike any of them and their show I do have a heart and death in one's life is always a tuff one to deal with. I would never make light of it and my condolences are with Jeff. As for the rest of the crew, I don't believe they were close to Jeff's friend and as such should have bucked up and done their jobs. No surprise really that they didn't though since they really don't have a clue what they are doing on any other given day.

Well said! Jeff certainly has an excuse to be sad and to miss some work. The others are parasitic slackers! Laura said she was crying because of Mark's death, but we all know it was because her roots were showing.

I read it here, went there to see the photos and tasted a little bit of my lunch there.

Them is ugly feet. I wish I knew what was going on with that big toe. It seems like it's been deformed from being forced into "pretty shoes".

I heard her begging to borrow shoes this morning. Did she get any size nine and a half's? Not only ugly, but huge feet.

She also read some email comments from readers about her dress selections. Someone told her to keep shopping. I'm sure that was the kinder selection of emails.

Does she just not realize what she is doing? Stop subjecting us to these pictures!

Her diary entry is dated June instead of July. She must not know what month it is either.

Why yes....matter of fact we are.

Seems like Star is going for the "older" audience in the morning and the youngsters in the afternoon. Jen sounds like she is just out of high school but she is actually in her 30's. She used to be with Greg Simms in the afternoons on 100.7 and got fired when they changed format. She's been lost over at US 95.7....didn't know a hoot about country and didn't want to. Matter of fact, she was doing the daily dirt on Thursday and announced that she had a first....."George Clooney is gay". Being the novice that she is, Jen should check her sources before she makes a stupid statement like that.

I don't think it is a fake tanning. Betcha she went to Dr. Bucko and had a face peel. That is why it is all red and blotchy. It will be back to normal for her reunion.

I agree....the clothes she was modeling were not the best choice. I saw her at the Jeff & Jer Thank You Party. She has a darling figure....so all you bashers, bite your tongues.....you would give your right arm to be a size 4.
