Was anyone listening this morning around 6:50 when Jer was telling his story about meeting Mick Jagger (again)? He regretted the fact that he didn't get a photo with him (understandably). Then, he went around the studio to ask people what regret they had in life....
Rick said that his regret was missing an opportunity to get a photo of himself with Presidents Clinton, Ford and Bush (daddy).
Laura - and this one is a gem - HER regret of everything in her life was that she missed the opportunity to buy a "thank you" t-shirt at Urban Outfitters.....is she KIDDING? Is THAT her regret? Not that she doesn't spend enough time with her kids, or that they move every other month, or that she got a freaking staph infection in her cranium from hair extensions? That she missed buying a T-SHIRT? Give me a break.......
I am thinking I need therapy to get over her staph infection. It creeps me out everytime I hear or think about it.
Me too. It give me the shivers all up my scalp and down my back.

I have been out of town for a week and thought I would listen to J&J this morning. How boring can this show continue to get. Once again, Jeff, Jer and Tommy are talking about themselves. Jeff is so lame. He goes to church to get the biggest piece of "cracker". Jer, of course, won't give up any bits of his private life. Hey, we already know. And then there's Tommy. Oh whoa, again "I screwed up, but now I have grown up". Yeah, right. Okay. Now I'm turning off the station. I just can't take it anymore.
I just turned it on, so I missed everything else. You turned it off too quickly- it was a setup for Laura to tell everyone that she is going to AA. I don't get how crackers relate to coming out that you are an alcoholic because I wasn't listening earlier. Did Jeff seriously say his big secret is that he likes to eat the biggest piece of cracker? Do you think this is a bit? Jeff was so fake the way he is talking to her like he knows anything....uggh he is lame.
There is 85% failure rate of people going back to their habits.
ps- They just had a budweiser commercial right after. Stay Classy San Diego!

Oh. You missed what Laura had to say - "Hi, I am Laura and I am alcoholic...". She sounded like she was drunk when she talked about it.

Ok, alcohol is a hard thing to give up and stay off of and if she’s trying to come clean, then, good for her. Maybe her portion of the show will be better with her not hung over.
I listened from one commercial break to the next and had no fracking idea what the heck they were talking about…so I called.
Tommy answered, “This is Tommy.” As if it’s his own, personal, phone line and not a phone line into a radio station. I wonder what his Clear Channel bosses would think of that. *shrug*
So I said to Tommy, “I’ve been listening since the last break and I have no fracking idea what you guys are talking about.”
He replied that they’re giving something up about themselves. Whatever.
I switched my radio back to AJ’s Playhouse.

well, maybe for ONCE she's thinking about her kids and cleaning up her act. They're only little for such a short time.....and kids from an alcoholic home grow up angry and tend to pick up that lifestyle. So, if she is doing something to help herself, then I applaud her. But, if that was a radio bit, then that show SUCKS.
D'ya think she'll lose the nasal, hung over voice she saves for those spot commercials she does for mattresses, cabinetry, food catering concerns...? I can't keep expanding my list of retailers I will never patronize.
I missed the whole show today. Just couldn't bring myself to listen. It's painful sometimes.
Anyway, I think the drinking is a cover for her coke habit. I'm not saying she isn't drinking, but she may admit to drinking on the air but not snorting.
Well it does explain a lot about her always being tired and never having time for anything. It also explains how she could miss buying a tee shirt only to regret it later on in life.
Let's hope Stable Dave is keeping things straight for those kids.

well, guess that "shilled" houseboat trip is going to be WAY boring for her without booze. But, at least the kids won't go overboard (cross your fingers).
Not only did we have to hear the ongoing boring American Idol ordeal but now it has taken Jerry almost half an hour just to tell us that he now wears the "mask". I'm about ready to puke. It seems as though now that Laura spilled her "guts" to us yesterday, now Jerry feels he has to.
Is it continuation of yesterday's boring topic? I am glad I didn't tune in at all today. Jerry has the tendency of "dragging" a 5 minute talk to an hour. He wouldn't get right to the point.
I didn't hear any of yesterdays show about Laura's confessions but I had to listen today, as I was in a car pool. I heard Randy say something about him having to take back the birthday gift her bought for Laura, Wines of the world. I had no idea what he was talking about until I read yesterdays haps here. I did hear Jer going on and on (boring!!) about his sleeping problems. What an ass! He found out years ago that he has apnea but wouldn't wear a mask to get better. What a shallow, self centered, conceited idiot. (Oh, sorry, I forgot you guys already knew that)
Do you think that Dave now works for the charter airlines that Tommy took to Vegas? (they have an ad on their website)
During Jerry's mask chat. We all have heard again and again how much he drinks every night (Minimum 2 bottles of wine)
Did you hear that he was taking THREE ambiens a night- Holy Cow!
It sounded very familiar for him...Do you remember when he had "back problems" he fessed up that he was taking/dependant on prescription pain medicine and was so out of it that he had to be driven back and forth to work.
I wonder if what Laura said was true or if it was just so Jer could say what he said. While Laura drinks wine, Jerry is popping pills with a wine chaser.
Laura does need help with her drinking and possible drug addiction. I give her kudos for looking into getting help. I couldn't believe though, when today, Randy makes fun of a gift he was going to get her "Wine of the World" and Tommy made reference about something to do with drinking, that he was going to get her (something like that). I found it odd that they would be poking fun at her. Makes those listening who may be in a similiar situation as Laura, get mixed feelings about "support".
And Jerry taking all those pills. Damn, if I took that many Ambien, etc, I wouldn't wake up for days if at all. He's a mess. They all are.
Yeah, funny too when Tommy said he brought his guitar so he could sing her a song and he plays Jimmy Buffets "Why dont we get drunk and screw" and Laura say, "Um, I can't do that anymore" ANYMORE, like in she used to be able to but not ANYMORE???
Star will probably be doing commericals for the Betty Ford Clinic soon......Jerry is popping pills with a wine chaser.
If they book early, perhaps Laura and Jerry can stay in the Liza Minnelli wing.......

How do you know she was referring to the drunk part and not the screw part? It has been mentioned before on this board that she is a flirt when not with Dave in public.
I only listened for 5 minutes, but I thought I heard her ask Jer if while she was drunk at one of their lunches did he impregnate her.
I guess it had to do with her daughter telling [lame] jokes like Jer always does.
