    Cool

    Here goes -

In Sundays newspaper (Philadelphia Inquirer) Staples has a flyer showing a pair of Altec Lansing Speakers with subwoofer for $49.98 ($29.98 after rebate). (SKU 383530)

Call (telephone) Staples.com (1-800-3-STAPLES) and order item # IM1205669. There was 1000 in stock this morning when I called. Ask the CS rep to match the newspaper price. The web price is $54. Add a pack of rubberbands (PLY12381 - 26 cents). Now use a 20 off 50 code !

Now go to the REBATE section and print out the $20 rebate form for this item. Note: the Altec model number is ACS33.

Your price after rebate is around $10 plus tax.

Nice deal! Just ordered one to complement my Labtech 5 piece system. I got some larger rubber bands with my order ($0.49) and the total came to $32.99 w/ free shipping. Additionally there is the $20 rebate and this comes down to $12.99. Not bad!

Here are two staples coupon codes to use with your order: $20 of $50. 90524 (Exp 11/30) and 90746 (Exp 9/15)

But How many actually bought the speakers? Personally, I prefer my Yamahas

I did that deal on speakers similar to those at Staples with a $40 mail in rebate from them. The check was supposed to be mailed at the end of July and it is September already and I have recieved no check. If the rebate is from Staples then good luck to everyone if you expect to get it.

    Cool

i ordered the speakers, but they haven't been shipped yet. the price came out to around 37 or so cause i didn't do the price match. i called customer service and they asked me to fax in the ad. i didn't bother cause i don't have a fax and don't get the paper, being the po' college student that i be.

i might have been semi interested in this deal but my last $150 pair of altec lansing speakers were the biggest pieces of crap.

I just called and they gave me a hard time. They said they are separate operations and the prices will differ. After they agreed to meet the price they put me on hold to verify the price with the store. Then they said the discount code for the $20 off $50. (#90524)is not valid in their computers, asked me where I got the coupon from and said I have to fax the coupon to them to get the discount. Since I only have the code # I can't do that so I didn't order it. Maybe I should just try again with someone else.
