Do you wear gloves when you clean?

Watching TV, I see in commercials women wearing gloves while cleaning. I don't, and was wondering who does.

I do if I'm going to be doing heavy cleaning. Simply wiping down counters, no. But if I'm scrubbing mildew off the shower walls, grime off the shower floor, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom sinks and toilet, and then cleaning the oven all in one day or two, I'll use them. Prolonged exposure to those chemicals can't be great for your skin.

I use gloves whenever strong cleaner is required or lots of cleaning needs to be done.

What is this "cleaning" act you speak of? This is foreign to me.

Nah, am just careful to wash up and scrub pretty good when I'm done. Try to minimize long exposure to the real harsh stuff. Keep the kiddies out of the area too so they don't breath the stuff in...

Only when dealing with chemical that could cause irritaton after exposure. Strong bleach and the like.

Yes. Otherwise my hands smell like cleaning products and I have to scrub them till they don't or till I bleed.

most of the time, no. the 90% of our cleaning products are non-toxic so there's really not a need. if i have to get out anything heavy-duty, then yes.
yeah, pretty much we missed the boat on that one. but it's still here. get you some.

I only use them if I am cleaning the oven at home, when I am cleaning other peoples homes I use them on almost everything.

I don't use them often because it takes longer to get to one of the kids if they are crying you have to rinse the gloves pull them off then wash your hands before touching one of the kids. If I am not using them I just wash my hands and run.

Merlin didn't think to wear gloves the first time he used Naval Jelly. That was comedy.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.
