My camera has the equivelent of a 28- 200mm zoom on it. It is also eight mega pixels so I can crop quite a bit and still look good- but I did not crop a lot off of this one. Shooting at the zoo was hard. With autofocus, it tended to focus on the glass or wire of the cages. Manual is sometimes a little slower to get right which is made harder if the animals are moving. This guy was close enough and not moving for a couple of moments so I was able to get a good one. I thought it was more interesting peeking out of the plants than just sitting in a cage. If you have never been to the San Diego Zoo, it is one of the best in the world and they recently opened a new monkey exhibit which is where I found this one. The baby panda is not on exhibit yet (but its parents are) but you can see a live TV monitor shot of it.

It looked like the animal really posed for the camera. I like takin pics of nature even though I'm not a professional photographer.

I'm no professional either. I just take lots of pictures. Like anything else, if you keep practicing and learning, you get better.

That's because they are evil. Ever see the Wizard of Oz? That's right, winged MONKEYS were the wicked witches' minions.
