    Wireless Help

I have a probelm. My gf's laptop won't connect to the internet via the router. It recognizes that the router, but says is has no signal. Yesterday it wouldn't connect to it, i suspect it had somthing to do with it reading the wrong DNS, but now there is nothing. It's a Dell Latitude D500. I tried making a new wireless network connection, but still nothing. Any ideas? TIA

Lois: Peter, I'm talking about making love.

Is the laptop using an 802.11g card? If not, double-check that you have 802.11b compatibility enabled in your router's settings.

    Did you reboot the laptop?

Also... make sure that you have the correct "WEP" security settings on the laptop. To test the connectivity, disable WEP and try to access the web... if that works, then just make sure that you enter the correct password into the laptop when you turn WEP security back on.
