    Average price for a bouquet?

    These days? Too much.

Honestly, you're looking at about $50-$60/dozen for good fresh longstem roses. And they'll last about a week.

where did you get them from? it really isn't worth saving a few bucks over quality...watch out because sometimes these discount florists have really crappy flowers

10-12 bucks at Shoppers Food Warehouse. 50+ from a florist.

Sams club has 2 dozen long stemmed roses for 14.99..and they are gorgeous!...
other than that-if you go to a florist, expect to pay at least 75 dollars for good quality, long stemmed with a bit of greenery.

Yep, 2 dozen long-stemmed roses for $14.99.....they'll even do an arrangement for you if you'd like. I always get a couple dozen roses, some greenery. some baby's breath, and a nice vase...all put together and arranged beautifully.....for about $35.
Yesterday I got a pre-made arrangement with 2 dozen roses, greenery and baby's breath in a beautiful basket with a big bow on it----$31

Costco's flowers are nice... if you're just getting a bunch vs a bouquet of roses steer clear of Red. They don't last as long and some of the lighter colors.

Go next door and take 12 out of old Grannie's Rose Garden.

It'll cost you a few pricks, drops of blood, and maybe a bite scar from her dog.

I bought some of the $15 Costco roses for Mom's halloween gift. They had a snappy orange-ish color that was perfect for the holiday!

I think roses are over rated. I would much rather have a chocolate rose that is edible or homemade hershey kiss flowers that Bigjon made me one year. They are so cool, I still have not eaten them and believe me that is saying somthing. I eat anything that is chocolate.

But again that is just me. I am not all about the things that most girls are. Every once in a while a single rose picked from the garden is fine for me.

I am also not diamond and jewlery crazed either. They are just not practical.

Okay I am done. *Gets off of soap box before other women kill me*

Depends on the time of year. When roses are in season they can be had for cheap. If there is a holiday around expect to pay a lot more. Obviously the prices go way way way up in Feb.

    Hi,

Actually you can probably do well with online florists these days on any kind of flowers including roses at places like Flowegalleria.com or proflowers.com. The prices are compelling (starting way under 30)but they come in pretty fancy FedEx Boxes and you have to take them out and put them in a vase (sometimes the vase is included in the price). I think for most occassions that will do, but if you are going to send flowers to a funeral or any place where no one is opening up a box or there would be a problem to take it out of the package and presentation is important you may consider a local florist. They will know what the right thing to do is. The price will be slightly higher, but sometimes that is not a consideration. If price is a consideration you definitely will get more with the online florists.

    Regards
